The Lion King 2:Simba's Pride Question

Does anyone know where Nala went after Kovu's exile?.

Because when Kiara and Simba are arguing, the only ones on Pride Rock besides them are the four lionesses who held back Kiara whilst Nala is nowhere to be seen. Where do you think she went?.

Well in movie universe she probably went out hunting for dinner or maybe just in the cave cause she knew that Simba had to deal with Kiara. But in the writing prospect she is such a minor character in the sequel that she was not needed and thus was not in the scene! :/
