More than One! chapter seventeen
Katrina pov.
I watched Alec leave and then sunk to the floor. I could still feel him on my lips. They tingled like they had been struck by lightning. I reached up and touched them lightly witch sent the lightning through my hand making it go numb.
“What’s happening to me?” I asked myself. ’he’s the one’ something answered in my head.
“No he’s NOT!” I yelled out loud. ’Yes he is and you know it because I know it and I’m you.’ The voice said to me.
“God I’m losing it.” I said. Then their was a knock on the door.
I tried to smell who it was but no smell was coming though the door. I sent out a mist clone to see who it was. The clone when though the door and sent the sight of Edward and Bella Cullen to me.
“Come in.” I yelled and starter to think about what they wanted than instead of what just happened.
They opened the door and stepped into the room. Not on high alert like Alec had been but calm. Edward looked strait at me with a carious look on his face. He new I was diverting my thoughts.
“You know where about to land right?” Bella asked looking at the look on Edward’s face. I knew she recognized it the look of ’what’s really doing on in her brain’ look.
“Yes I know.” I said flatly.
“Okay, we just wanted to let you know.” Bella said. Edward just stared at me
“Well thanks.” I said turning around to brush through my tangled hair. I could fell Edwards eyes on me the hole time trying to uncover my secrets.
“What are you hiding?” Edward said in a low voice. Bella’s head snapped sideways to look at her mate.
“What do you mean what are you hiding?” Bella said sounding furious.
“You and Alec are hiding something.” Edward said ignoring Bella.
“Alec is doing the same thing you are. Diverting your thought from me. What don’t you to want me to know.” Edward continued.
“Its none of your business.” I spat.
“Maybe your not hiding anything from me maybe your hiding something from yourself. Something you believe to be so disturbing that you would prefer to never think of it again.” Edward said looking at me like he knew something.
“You want to know what it is?” I said in a voice that was laced with fury.
“Yes I want to know.” Edward said.
“Fine then I’ll show you.” I said in the same tone. I put twenty clones up so fast Edward and Bella where almost knocked off their feet.
I showed Edward with twenty one thoughts all at once what had happen. Everything from showing Alec the clone to kissing him. The force of the same thought struck him so hard he couldn’t hold himself up and he slid to his knees.
“You happy.” I spat at him.
“You… Alec…. Oh God!” Edward stuttered. I just smiled at him with spite.
Bella looked confused and terrified by what Edward could mean by the Alec and I thing. Then their was a knock on the door. All three of us looked at the door.
“Who is it?” I said flatly.
“Alec and Jane.” Jane yelled through the door.
“Come in.” I said bitterly. They opened the door and walked in. I looked at the twin vampires.
“What have I done to have to honor of the terrible twins grace me with their presence?” I asked with a mischievous smile.
“You two out.” Jane said motioning to Edward and Bella. They both looked at her then walked out without a word.
After the door shut Jane and Alec turned and looked at me. We all sat there looking at each other with out a word for a few long seconds before Alec motioned to Jane to talk. Jane nodded and began talking.
“Alec told me you had something we might be interested in.” She said.
“And?” I said not felling like cooperating.
“And, it could help you get out of the mess you put yourself in.”
“Jane dear did it ever accrue to you I like the mess I’m in and I put myself in it on purpose?” I asked her.
“Now why would anyone take on the Volturi everyone knows that’s a suicide mission.” Alec said for the first time cense coming into the room.
“Yes it maybe for most people but you know very well that if I wanted to the Volturi could not beat me in a fight.” I answered very calmly.
“Tell me what’s going on.” Jane demanded. I looked at her and said,
“Nothing, nothing at all.”
“Don’t play that with me I know something is doing on.”
“What’s doing on is I’m going to go to your little leaders and talk to them if that doesn’t work then I’ll improvise.” I said then turned around flipped me hair out of the way and walked to the other side of the room and sat down a chair.
“You can leave now I have nothing else to say to you.” I said ignoring them.
“If you wont tell me then I’ll have to force it out of you.” Jane said.
I looked over at her and said, “Go ahead and try.”
