I know, it doesn't really matter and usually I'm not too interested in that kind of stuff, but this topic didn't come up yet and other fans discuss the Joker's sexuality all the time.
So I just wanted to know your opinion on that subject.

If you want to read more about all these sexuality-possibilities concerning the Joker, for example in terms of their meaning, click here: link

I personally believe that Heath Ledger's Joker does not think of himself as "human" and therefore doesn't really care for trivial human activities like sex. He could do it, but it just doesn't interest him that much, he doesn't need it. So I guess he is somewhat flowing to asexual.
But maybe this is just me.

Hey, people, are you come to an arrangement? Did you realy think Joker suffers from impotence? That is not clever.

@Johnessa: What do you mean by that?
I didn't say that the Joker is impotent. I said that he "doesn't really care". He could easily do "it", but I think he would feel nothing.
Normally, people share a certain bond after they had sex. It is natural. But the Joker isn't able to have a certain bond with someone, just because he is a psychopath.
Psychopaths aren't capable of feeling any real human and genuine emotions. That's why, in my opinion, sex isn't something that "fulfills" him.
As typically for psychopaths, I guess he would do it to make someone else (his sexual partner) think they had a bond. To make them "fall" even harder if he got what he wanted. But not because he is into sex itself.

Although, I could agree with you that he is hetero (or, as many other psychopaths even bisexual). Maybe he still feels a certain attraction to some people, but probably this is just an illusion he notices after some time.
That is also the reason why I didn't pick "Asexual" like other fans did who agreed with my comment. He "flows" to asexual because he doesn't feel any emotional connection while having sex, but to be asexual he also has to not feel any (physical) attraction to someone and I'm not sure if he does or does not.

I don't believe he does. It also is determined by what origin of Joker you are thinking of too. I don't see the Dark Horse joker ever having sex or seeing any gender as attractive, so in conclusion to that I see him as completely asexual. But there is the Joker that associates with Harley Quinn and there have been more than one occasion that suggests that Joker has had sex. It's a tough call actually.

So, I'm just going to answer this keeping in mind of "Heath Ledger's Joker" and say asexual. Also, for the fact that I don't see Harley coming into these movies anytime soon to change that conclusion.

Well, I think your belief, Vixie79, makes sense. ;]
I myself can't see him having sex too.
... but who knows? You never know which "true" backstory Heath and Nolan had in mind (if they did).

Atleast in The Dark Knight the Joker seems absolutely asexual.

Well, that's what was the intriguing part of Heath's Joker. He didn't really have a clear back story to begin with. Notice he always changed his story on how he got his scars. My husband loves that this Joker had no firm story and I found it original myself. He got tired of the old vat of acid origin. Which I disagree, I still LOVE that back story, both "The Killing Joke" and the more acquainted Animated series one too.

I can't see him truly falling in love with someone, or at least in the common view of "falling in love." Respect, maybe. Get a kick out of, more likely. But romantic love- it doesn't seem to fit his interest.

As a general figure the Joker is an odd mixture between asexual and bisexual from where I sit. Just cuz he has a fangirl for a sidekick doesn't make him straight. I distinctly remember one comic where the Joker offers to have sex with an enemy who had cornered him in exchange for his life. This enemy was a man. Joker offered a sexual favor to a MAN. Another time he began to undress himself voluntarily in front of yet another man under the presumptions that they were going to do it. He also hinted at having sexual relations with other men, including the seducing the Riddler and being pursued by the Mad Hatter. Plus, Mr J flirts shamelessly with Batman, even grabbing his ass on one occasion. If any thing the Joker is bi. And of course different versions seem to have different preferances. This is just info I've gathered and put together to come to my conclusion. Don't take offense!!!! ;-)
