We all love the hunger games right? (duh! Or you wouldn't be reading this)
But all of us have a different opinion of Twilight. Would the hunger games movie REALLY be the new twilight.
I doubt it very much.

For one thing, the hunger games is a completely different story (try as I might, I could not find a connection between 'vegetarian' vampires and teenagers being forced to kill each other).
For another thing, the hunger games doesn't have the right elements to generate the same crazy hype that twilight created.

Now by the right elements, I mean:

1. A boneless doormat of a female lead with about as much personality as a piece of cold mushroom ravioli. That's an important element, here. Without a colorless, flavorless female lead such as Bella Swan, girl readers have a hard time projecting themselves into the romance.
In The Hunger Games, we get Katniss Everdeen, a very well defined, strong character, who hunts with a bow and arrow, and who likely would be extremely underwhelmed at a brooding waste of space like Edward Cullen. That is, unless Edward knew how to trap squirrels and root for berries.

2. A super-strong, borderline stalker of a male lead. Again, a very important element. In the Twilight series, Edward essentially makes all the big decisions: That he and Bella will date, that he and Bella will go out to dinner, etc. The Hunger Games has a pair of very promising suitors for Katniss, but both of them know better than to try to spy on her while she's sleeping. That is, unless they're cruising for an arrow to the kneecap!

3. Overwrought romance. That's the entire point of all of the Twilight books—getting Bella and Edward together. But it isn't the center of The Hunger Games; the kids are too busy holding onto their vital organs to focus much on love.

4. Lead actors who always look sad and lonely, and who are secretly dating. The life ring that kept twilight afloat between movies.

How on Earth did we even consider Twilight and The Hunger Games being even remotely similar!
I don't know about you but I think we need to be realistic when we predict the fate of movies.

Thanks for reading

“So are you ready for breakfast”, she asked?

I nodded my stomach hurt a lot, whether I was hungry or nervous I didn’t know.

“We’ll be pulling in any moment now”, Elisabeth said when I walked out there, “better eat quickly”, she added.

I sat next to Pranet, and then Thayer came out and sat across from me and smiled lightly and piled eggs onto his plate.

I looked away and but hash browns on my plate and took some toast, I didn’t want to eat I still didn’t feel too good.

Nerves? Maybe.

Pranet looked at me and whispered, “You okay?”

I nodded and said, “Just nervous.”

“Same.”...

The clink of nails against glass. The silence of thousands holding their breath. The rustling of paper. The sharp intake of air as she prepares to speak the words that will end the world.

I stand in the middle. The middle of the crowd, the middle of her friends, the middle of the ages. But standing front and center was one thing I don't want.

The woman from the Capitol spoke two seemingly meaningless, average words I hear on a daily basis. But today their meaning was different. Their meaning wasn't love. Their meaning was doom.

The woman on the stage
smooths the paper
clears her throat
inhales air...

"THE HUNGER GAMES" (2012) Review

The year 2008 saw the publication of a best-selling novel for young adults called "The Hunger Games". Written by Suzanne Collins, the novel's success led to the publication of two sequels and a Hollywood adaptation of the first film.

Directed by Gary Ross and adapted by him, Collins and Billy Ray; "THE HUNGER GAMES" is about a sixteen year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a dystopian post-apocalyptic future in the nation of Panem, which consists of a wealthy city called the Capitol that is surrounded by 12 less affluent districts. As punishment for...

After winning the 74th Hunger Games in the previous novel, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home to District 12, the poorest sector in the country of Panem. On the day that Katniss and Peeta are to start a "Victory Tour" of the country, she is visited by President Snow, who explains that he is angry with her for breaking the rules at the end of the last Hunger Games, which permitted both Peeta and Katniss to win. Snow tells Katniss that when she defied the Capitol, she inspired rebellion in the districts.
The first stop on the Victory Tour is District 11, the home of Katniss's deceased...

I'm not some big newspaper or anything i'm just a girl that like reading so don't get to expectant or me just yet. I love The Hunger Games trilogy, I've read The Hunger Games 3 times, Catching Fire 2 times, and The Mockingjay 2 times. I know that doesnt seem like much but it is. Everytime i read these books i get attached to the characters again and again. I know this might sound a little weird but i love going through their(Peeta and Katniss) story. I love feeling their pain and living their painful life. It's one of my favorite places to run away to. I'm not a lovey dovey type but the romance...
