Has anyone else heard about the racist statements?

This is absolutely disgraceful and outrageous. Rue and Cinna were two of my favourite characters. I liked Thresh too, just not as much. Rue's death made me cry, and to think someone would say that because she's black made it less sad, is a terrible person who needs to read the books first and not go see the movie if they are going to critisise the actors for it. If I was in the cinema and someone said that I would probably tell them to shut the hell up and get their facts straight. The society we live in today is terrible and people who are racist should get more than fined. There is nothing different about someone just because of their skin colour. The sun changes it. Look behind the skin and into the person. If you just instantly make a judgement on someone (Rue or Cinna in this case) you will never like them. Be open-minded and stop being racist bitches. Excuse my temper. Go RUE!(Three finger salute).

Oh dear God... Well people do this all the time. But it says in the book that Thresh and Rue had a darker skin color. Sure I didn't imagine Cinna as black, but I personally LOVE Lenny Kravitz as him. This is unreasonable. Readers of the book would know this. Those who have not even read at least the first book don't have a right to claim that it is "racist". It is completely outrageous. Out of all the casting, I Thresh and Rue were in my favorites.

Seriously? Did people actually said that? Have to say, I'm disappointed. I thought people aren't as narrow minded as they used to be about this sort of thing. It's just stupid, for me, to dislike a person from the color of his skin. Just stupid.

And as for Cinna, they can't match everyone's imagination. Some people thought he had dark skin and some people didn't! I hate when people are racist >.<

They claim that making Rue and Thresh black was racist as well. I call bullshit on that. The book even states that had dark brown skin. The people complaining are people that haven't read the book. My response to them would be, "READ THE BOOK YOU MORONS!"

i really don't understand why everything has to be a racism thing, i mean in the book they talk about that rue and the other dude was darker, but then if they didn't put black people in the movie it would of been something else right? the book is good and the movie was good. leave it alone

That's upsetting and disturbing. All the actors were played fantastically, and RUE IS DARK SKINNED IN THE BOOK! Cinna was awesome, and Thrash was too. I hate how racist those fans were.

The racism is terrible. I can't believe people said that!!! :(
