The Host was amazing!!! There should be just as much craze about the Host as there is with Twilight! I guess we just need to give it time, for more people to read it. After all, its only been out about 2 months.

I totally agree with you Kitticat2, we have to give it time. People will read The Host and trust me they are gonna love it. The love between Ian*Wanda/Melanie*Jared is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!1

I don't think that it's less popular, it hasn't caught on yet. I'm sure it took some time for Twilight to become a worldwide phenomenon. And I know the Host will be too. I'd give it just a couple of moths and this spot will be up to 500-1000 fans! I've already seen on the shelves the bestseller chelves across te country in diffenert states, the Host is popular, and always up front.

I'm sure with more time it will be just as popular, but for right now, all my friends and family that have read it love it so i am positive that it is only a matter of time.

I think people just haven't had the time to read it yet because it is so long, but once they read it they will love it!!!

I actually think that the host was soo much better but i think its coz the host hasnt been...umm ...recognized yet like twilight was out in 2005 and i only read it this xmas and now almost all the hirls in my school has read in at the end of the school year ..so i think itss get around

I think The Host could have a wider fanbase, because there is more action and internal struggle, and less "romance", giving it a greater appeal for male readers, while maintaining a hold on its female demographic. And everyone can relate to the end of the world as far as humans are concerned, so who wouldn't get into it? Just give her time to write the sequels, and the fanbase will widen dramatically.

I don't think there are less...I just think Twlight has been out longer. Plus I think now that there is a movie people want to see what it was all about.

The Host is one million times better than Twilight! Therefore, it deserves one million times the number of Twilight fans. :p
Although I think Twilight has more fans because it can appeal more to people who... aren't as strong readers, you know? Because Twilight's written more for adults, it's a bit harder to understand.

if the host moviecomes out i think it will have the same amount of folowing as twilight... then again, alien movies usually outrun romance vampire flicks any day of the week...who knows..

yes!! The Host, in my opinion, is WAY better than twilight! i mean i loved twilight, crazy about it for years, but when i read the host, twilight just got all boring (oh it's about a girl & a vampire. they fall in love...blah...) I'm trying to get everyone in my school to read the host (since i got mostly everyone in my class year to read it)!

I love the host sooo much, but i don't want there to be such a big fanfare as twilight. i love twilight, but the fans are annoying. i don't want the host ruined.

my friend introduced me to the host and the twilight saga, most of my other friends read twilight now im trying to make them read the host! I think there should be more fans then twilight and there should also be a movie

Most Twilight fans are crazy. I want them to stay the heck away from The Host.

The whole issue with Twilight is that it used to be about the book but as soon as the movie started and more and more people began to read it, it got to be to much about everything else rather than the books. I don't want that for the Host I love it too much.

Yes ı agree after the movie, more people will notice The Host. That's how I found out about Twilight.

I gave The Host as a Christmas gift to a family member, and told her she would like it better than Twilight. Funny thing, though, she is stalling reading the book---she doesn't think anything would be better than Twilight. Wow, that's a true fan. Once she reads it, I'm positive she'll have room in her heart for this one, too. lol

if there would be so many people liking the host it ould get so many haters too and i want the host to be just for lovers!
