I think yes and no becasue i think it ended well and that you dont really need another, but i would love another one becasue it was a great book im just not sure if it needs another one sorry if that was hard to understand :D

I feel the same. It was a great novel, and I wouldn't want it to be ruined by a horrible sequal , but yet, I want to know more! But, Stephenie is a phenominal writer, so I think a sequal may be just as good or better than The Host.

Stephenie has already considered it, she has said it could possibly end up being a trilogy! And I think if she already has those possibilities in mind... then I'm sure she would do a great job! Just like New Moon and Eclipse. It wasn't necessary for her to write them... (thank go she did though!) Twilight was wonderful as is. Besides... I have not gotten enough of Ian O'Shea! I want MORE of Ian and Wanda!

I would love love love it if Stephanie did a sequal to The Host. I would be interested to see what she would do with it. I bet something would happen in the sequal that nobody would expect. Everything that woman writes is magic! I can't get enough of her books!!

She has hinted she may work on a sequel for the host after breaking dawn. Sometime inbetween working on Midnight Sun.
A sequel would be super awesome though =]

While I think the book has room for a sequel, I honestly don't trust Stephenie with it.

While in many ways I agree with sccrfootbsk that the story has just begun, as it is I'm conflicted about Meyer's decision to continue it past those two terrifyingly blank pages: the ending she left us with there was just so beautiful.

More importantly, there were a lot of things I wanted to see her address somewhere in New Moon or Eclipse, and she didn't deliver, choosing to just tread water with Bella and Edward's relationship instead. Maybe now that she's working with "adult" fiction she'll be willing to tackle those difficult moral questions (why I loved The Host in the first place) like the tragic life-or-death nature of the underground war with which we've been left, but I DEFINITELY don't want the story to be diluted.

If a sequel comes out I'll read it eagerly, but right now my attitude is that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

absolutely! stephenie left so much unanswered, at least to me. a sequel would need to be totally different, though. maybe it could explore the future of the human/soul war, and it could go more into the other groups of humans like the one at the end.

I want another book but i'm worried cause she said that if there was another book she would kill off some of the charters and i don't want them to die.
If there is another book i hope that its not all from Wanda's point of view because i really love mel and i want to see more of her and jarred and jamie.

I'd rather not...because she'll get attached to the characters, like she did with Twilight (not that that's a bad thing) and well, I think it was ended nicely...there isn't much to go from. And if she does..I don't know if I'll read it...

I'd love to read a sequel. Even books that have a sequel and focus on different characters are enjoyable. Plus, I'd like to see the fate of their humanity, if you don't mind.

stephanie is such an amazing writer that i think if there was a squel to the book we won't be disappointed i would be thrilled to know if there is goin to be one i have finished reading the twilight series and was quite sad that it ended though she finished the sequel perfectly and i really hope we get to now what happens with the host as some questions still remain and i can't wait to read any other books she writes

i loved the first one don't get me wrong and i would most deffently read the second one if there was a second one but i don't know if it will be as good. But i still have faith in Stephenie Meyer she is my fave auther

the host was so good and the ending was the most beautiful ever...it would be hard to make another book just as strong. Of course, i'd LOVE for a sequel, but if it isn't as good or better it would sorta ruin the host a bit...fingers crossed that she delivers!

i have an amazing idea for the sequal.. im already writing it even though its like impossible to send it to steph... its told from a person from the other group's (at the end of the host) point of view.. and she falls in love with jamie.. im basing the character off myself cause i LOVE JAMIE!

Yes, OF COURSE a squeal is a good thing. I don't see how anybody could think otherwise. Even if you're not sure where Stephenie is going to go with the next book, you have to believe she's gonna make it totally awesome. I mean, has she ever let you down with a story?
