The Chronicles Of Narnia Question

Why didn't they make the films in order!?

It's meant to go: Magicians Nephew, Lion the witch and the Wardrobe, Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the Silver Chair and then the Final Battle.
Are they not going to make the others? Why not in the order that they are meant to be? Or are they in publication order rather than chronological order? If so does anybody know why?

Thanks in advance. I'm kind of confused here :3

C.S. Lewis wrote the books in the order of:
The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
The Magician's Nephew
Last Battle
This is the order the movies are being made.

C.S Lewis also said that the order he preferred was the one I mentioned - the actual order of events in Narnia. But it seems they just made films with the Pevensies in, which is kinda annoying. :(

"The Magician's Nephew" and "The Horse and His Boy" have different plot lines and main characters than the rest of the series so they're probably going to film them last if they do make them into a movie.

That's actually the original order that C.S. Lewis wrote them in, but a while back some people decided that they should go in this certain order.

They are doing it in order.... it's in the order from which CS Lewis published his books.

That might be the technical chronological order of the entire story, but personally, I would be confused reading/watching Magicians Nephew if I hadn't already read/watched The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I think they're making the movies based on the order of when they were published, rather than (what some people think is) the chronological order.

I think it should be the magicians nephew first just makes more sense that way around even the books go that way now but it says all over the net that the magicians nephew is going to be the next film made rather then the silver chair but we will see :)
