I know Paul tried really hard to keep the Beatles together, it just did not work out.

Paul might have commited suicide after the Beatles broke up if he did't have Linda, she was the only thing that kept him going after that.

Poor Ringo, never did any harm to anyone. Truth is even though Paul tried to keep the Beatles together, he and John were always in arms at the end (whether that was Yoko's fault or not). And John, Paul and George all enjoyed extremely successful solo careers afterwards, but Ringo I think needed the creative environment that included the other three.

i mean yeah they all probably took it bad but its a tie for john and paul for me because it was john's creation and even though he said he dislike it, yoko and may said that he did love it, i also think paul took it bad because he tried so hard to make it work

I think Paul did. He tried his best to keep them together...But It just didnt turn out the way he wanted it...Its quite sad. Some people think Yoko Ono was the one who broke them up..I agree to that

I think each of the Beatles took the breakup in a different way. You could sense George's readiness to go on his own towards the end (his body language spelled boredom.) I remember hearing Ringo state in an interview that he loves to be in a band. I think it was hard for all of them. Watching and/or hearing them play solo just isn't the same as watching and/or hearing them together.

"Get back, Get back, get back to where you once belonged." Beatles, get back to where you once belonged!!!"

Everybody was fighting, and all Ringo wanted to do was keep his best friends together, but he didn't know how.

Paul and Ringo equally. Paul tried over and over to keep them together but he just couldn't, Ringo said "I would've stayed with the band, I can't put my finger on one thing that went wrong" they both were sad when they broke up.

Paul didn't take it too hard. John was the one to declare it. George was thinking about solo songs during the Abbey Road recording, and Ringo really never recovered.

I don't know exactly what was going through their minds when they broke up, so I have to say not sure.

Poor Paulie took it really hard, he was really trying to keep it going, but, in Lennons words; 'the dream was dead'. if it wernt for linda, he would have topped himself after the breakup.

Ringo might not've wanted the Beatles to break up, but he did nothing to stop it and seemed pretty happy afterwards. But Paul - everything Paul ever did in the later years was to keep the Beatles together. All the projects he suggested, all the recording sessions he insisted they do - all for nothing. Paul had to stand and watch as their band toppled before his eyes, and nothing he did would stop it. All it did was get him a reputation for being arrogant and controlling. "Anyway, you'll never know the many ways I've tried..." I agree, I think Linda was the only thing that kept him going after that.
