*Disclaimer: This is my teacher's words. It's her story from her childhood, I'm just repeating it. This is her story. :)

So, my sixth grade teacher revealed to my class one day that she had met George Harrison when she was a kid. This is how her story to us went.
Her late father was a missionary and basically traveled all over the world so my teacher and her sister (who was also my teacher in college) pretty much lived everywhere. And in 1963 they finally made it back to America and while living there they reconnected with a couple they had befriended in England. And according to her while they...

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer
Let it be

For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Yeah, there will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom...

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away.
Now it looks as though they're here to stay.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be.
There's a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she had to go?
I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong.
Now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she had to go?
I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong.
Now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm.

Jim McCartney couldn't sleep. All day long, he'd turned what the police had told him about this mysterious British band over in his mind. How they had come to New York from England. How they all seemed to want to be rock musicians. And how one of them was calling himself James.
It was silly, Jim knew. Paul couldn't have gotten all the way to New York on his own! For one thing, the airlines wouldn't have allowed it. But he might not have been travelling alone, Jim remembered. There were three other boys in this band, who would have had to come over from England too. Could Paul have really formed...

The Beatles were heroes.
Everyone in England talked about their defeat of the Beast of Bodmin Moor for years afterwards, and they were, if possible, even more famous than before. The papers wrote up articles about the Beatles' quest, and there was much interest in the special objects that had helped them. There were still some police officers who thought the Beatles should be arrested for carrying swords about and disturbing England, but there were too many people now who knew about the Beast and knew the Beatles had saved everyone. Besides, the Beatles had said in countless interviews what...

The Beatles were back together, and I had never been happier. The Beatles never forgot what I had done for them, and I became sort of their official number-one fan. They sent me their new records as soon as they released them, and they always signed them. I got free tickets to many of their concerts, and they would sometimes just call me or send me a letter to ask how I was doing, and to tell me a little bit about their lives, which were happier than ever. The Beatles told me that they had all promised each other that if they ever had problems again, they would work them out right away instead...

Luckily, I still had some money left from my job for transportation. I figured I might end up spending it all on plane and train tickets, but it was worth it. My only other option would have been stealing money from Paul, and I would never do that!
My next step was a plane ride followed by a train ride out into a secluded place back in England, where I found a nice big house with a statue of a rhinoceros out front. This was the place, according to Paul's address book, where Ringo lived. If he was still here, this was where I would convince him to rejoin the Beatles.
I knocked on the door, and...

It was almost a week later when I managed to get back to the record store. I knew that Mom had told Dad about my crying over The Long And Winding Road and they would try and stop me from going if they knew. But one day, I told them I had a project to work on and would be a bit late coming home. I wasn't lying - not really. What project was more important than saving the Beatles?
When I got to the record store, Marvin looked up and smiled. "Ah, Carrie. I wondered when you were coming back. I have something else for you." He slid another record across the counter. I knew it was the Beatles with...
