What would his lawyers say?

So, if Mark David Chapman shot John Lennon, how exactly would his lawyers defend him? Like, what could they possibly say, "Mark had the right to do that"? Because he was obviously guilty, and would stay in jail for his whole life!

That's was I saw in a documentary a few days ago. S he was under a 23 hour watch every day, had to work there, and had therapy classes and stuff!! Thanks you so much for the answer!

Probably, though that isn't much of a defense. Psychos like that should be locked up anyway.
