The Beatles were quite often asked what one or another of their songs meant. They always replied, "Whatever you want them to mean." There's no question that their drug use effected their music, and not usually in a good way, but I still prefer to think of 'Got To Get You Into My life' as a simple reference to the girl of one's dreams...which is of course, in and of itself, a ridiculous illusion.

Excuse me, how can you say that the girl of one's dreams is a ridiculous illusion when Paul met his the very next year? Stop being so cynical!

How old are you? Now I suppose your going to tell me that Lucy in the sky with diamonds is about L.S.D? Almost every song of the era was about drugs, arseholes just like to blame the Lads.

and i asked a question to actually get an answer, not to get that thing of a response you would probably call 'protecting the name of the beatles'

well, there's nothing wrong with protecting the Beatles; I'd say that's what we Beatles fans are here for! And by the way, the Beatles were always very honest about what their songs meant and if they say Lucy in the Sky wasn't about LSD, it wasn't.
