He just grew older and his looks changed as he grew in his 30's. We all love the bad era but he couldn't keep the bad era look forever. The dangerous era and invincible era (and thriller era) looks just as erotic as the bad era though. We all grow up and our facial features change as we grow. That's just how it goes.

And also he had a skin disease called vitiligo so that's mostly why his look changed
