Ummm no Avengers is KICKASS and better than the dark knight..DC's only saveable hero(for movie I meam seriously how many superman movies have there been JUST THIS CENTURY)but no Avengers forever BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER imo :)

I respect your opinion i think Dark Knight Rise was better
Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of both franchises. But speaking with a critical eye, I do believe that "THE AVENGERS" was the better movie. I also believe it was better than "THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN".
I LOVE Batman i really do but Christian Bale sucks, not to mention i think the Dark Knight was better than the Dark Knight rises. And DC needs to get their shit striaght and come out with some other movies, i know we just had Green Lantern but that could have been SO much better. And now they're making another Superman! Im not sure whether to be excited or pissed i mean what if they screw it up............... again?
Anyway so Marvel has also had its fair share of mistakes but the Avengers was BEAST! And therefore beats the Dark Knight Rises.
You really can't compare the two. The Avengers is meant to be a really fun popcorn movie, while The Dark Knight Rises set a much more serious tone. If I had to choose, TDKR had the much more developed plot and character arcs, though The Avengers is my favorite.
Yes. I'm sorry; the Avengers was fun and all, but TDKR has a way more complex story line, more character development, and better visuals... All in all a much better movie.
