People like being egoistic and say "cuz I was born in 1990 then that made me 10 years old by 1999 so I know more then you do cuz I remember more and I lived through the entire decade sooo i was more of a baby/kid then you were cuz u were born last year of the decade.". They don't remember the first half of the 90s, they were a baby/ toddler. what baby/toddler is going to go around saying i remember everything going on around me. If you really want to remember the 90s try being my age. i'm 30 (cough cough), born in 1982, I was 8 years old in 1990. I remember the entire decade (ages 8-17 years old) so I out beat them all. Don't worry about it your a 90's baby and 00s to 20-teens is your coming of ages years.

bendaimmortal Surely anyone who was born between 1990-1999, is a '90's baby. There's no denying that. But you're not a '90s kid if you don't have personal memories of living in that decade. To be something's something usually means that you were a part of it on level of personal experience and memories, that you actually lived it to a significant degree. Otherwise we would all be, for example, 1800's kids / men / women because we've studied the history and know all kinds of stuff about the era, nevermind that we have zero personal / conscious experience from it. Technically, anyone who was born after 1996 or '97 would be a 2000s kid to me, not '90s. Because it was already the year 2000 when they turned 3 or 4 and so were likely to be truly influenced by the ways of the world and people around them. I mean, the world changes all the time. Technology, entertainment, politics, laws...Everything that affects your life experience and development. Mid-2000's was not like the early or mid-'90s. So if early or mid-2000's was when you actually started to take in and comprehend the world, make friends and figure out who you are, while whatever the current trends and values and laws and all were affected your life - then how could you possibly categorize yourself as a '90s kid. I think a person can anyway be ie. a '90s kid at heart while actually being ie. a 2000s kid.
