Spuffy are my OTP but I didn't mind Bangelus and Bangel (in S1/S2. S3 is a different story)

I know a lot of people talk about Spuffy & Bangel as if they were part of a love triangle, but they really weren't. Spike & Buffy were mortal enemies while Buffy & Angel were together. It wasn't until Angel left the show, and BtVS moved to any entirely new TV network that Spike & Buffy were romantically involved. It was just Buffy having two different love interests at different points in her life, but it was never a love triangle- which is what makes it easy to like them. Angel & Spike never competed over Buffy. The only two times it came remotely close to that were when Angel returned for the BtVS finale & he was surprised Buffy was with Spike and in the last season of Angel when Angel & Spike follow Buffy around Italy. But that's hardly a love triangle.
Because I've never seen Spuffy and Bangel as competing factors, I could easily enjoy both of them. I love Bangel and I like Spuffy. The reasons I do not LOVE Spuffy have nothing to do w/Bangel but mostly b/c of the way Buffy acted in that "relationship." But they were both good separate individual couples that just involved the same person. If anything the love triangle was Riley/Buffy/Spike since there was actually some competition there.

And I didn't watch Alias.

I prefer Buffy and Angel but I don't mind Spike and Buffy
