It's usually only the shows I form an attachment to that I'm super protective of. Not all of my favorites, very few actually. Nobody messes with 24.

If someone doesn't like it, that's fine. But if they are bagging it when they've never even watched it then I am defensive.

Nothing wrong with someone stating theor opinion, but when they start bashing the show just to be a dick, then I get pissed off. I once got into a huge argument with some anti-24 person on youtube. Not because of his opinion, but because he was trying to convince me that the show is evil propaganda. I tend to get annoyed with that type of arrogance.

I'm more passionate about movies and books than about T.V. shows, so it's rare that I really have to start defending one.

If people don't like my favourite shows, I don't really care. I tend to like controversial shows anyway, so I can't expect everyone to be into them. People are allowed not to like things idc.

The only thing that bothers me is this: when someone "speak badly" of the shows that I love, without having seen even half episode.
But this is a subject that also applies to movies, books, music and many other things.
