LOST
Seven seasons, hundreds (thousands?) of questions, dozens of deaths, and one epic finale that sent our survivors off into the great beyond.

UGLY BETTY
Betty Suarez didn't just get a great finale. The show had a massively emotional and totally perfect final few episodes, with Justin coming out, Hilda getting married, Betty heading to London (and getting closure with Henry), and Daniel dutifully following her. Hang on, there's...dust...in my eye...allergies....

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU
This vastly under-appreciated ABC Family gem left off with a cliff-hanger. Noooooo! Lindsey Shaw can be seen bustin' ass on Nikita, which is nice, but she'll always be the brilliant, sarcastic, and deeply sensitive Kat to us.

GHOST WHISPERER
After five seasons, Melinda and the gang crossed over after CBS axed the show and ABC declined to pick it up. Do not go gentle, etc., etc.

THE HILLS
Release your inhibitions, feel the rain on your skin! Except, can you show us a little less skin, please Heidi? After Lauren left, the show just wasn't the same, but the ending shot that pulled back on a soundstage was enough to bump the once-buzzy series back to the top of the gossip food chain.

24
Beep. Beep. Beep. We'll miss Jack Bauer's constant sense of urgency, but after eight seasons — and countless ass-whuppings and explosions — it was time for everyone's favorite CTU operative to ride off into the sunset.

HEROES
Four seasons in and the epic adventures of the suddenly super had definitely lost its charm. (Evil carnies? Evil carnies!) It went out with more of a whimper than a bang, but at least the Heroes came out of their hero closet.

PARTY DOWN
The wickedly smart — but still sincere — cater-waiter comedy just couldn't find a big enough audience. But for those few faithful, the wry banter and surprising silliness were definitely a Ron Donald Do.

AS THE WORLD TURNS
After almost 14,000 episodes, the lights went down on Oakdale this September, sending everyone — except fans — off with a happily ever after.

THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM
Comedy Central's only female-led series wrapped up after three seasons of absurd, often gleefully immature, hijinks.

SAVING GRACE
After three seasons of Oklahoma City-set soul-searching, Holly Hunter's tough (but deeply wounded) Grace Hanadarko found only one way to ''save'' herself: in a final showdown with evil itself.

SCRUBS
Regular old Scrubs ended in 2009 (with the amazing ''My Finale''), but Scrubs 2.0 hung on for another year on ABC — finally calling it quits after a stuttering 13-episode go-round. The new crop of interns at Sacred Heart Hospital had promise all their own, but Scrubs was always about Turk, JD, Carla, and Elliot.

LEGEND OF THE SEEKER
Despite a fervent fan outcry, the two-season fantasy series just couldn't be saved.

CAPRICA
A bold twist on the Battlestar Galactica mythology, Caprica was all about narrative and philosophy (where its predecessor had also included healthy doses of action and peril). Despite gorgeous production values and solid critical response, Syfy pulled the plug midway through the second season.

COLD CASE
After seven seasons of warming up once-frigid leads, Rush, Valens, and the gang solved one final case... to one final musical montage.

TERRIERS
Not everything FX touches turns to gold, sadly. This tragically under-watched buddy series featured a never-better Donal Logue — but viewers just didn't get on board. File it away with the other great one-season wonders.

MY BOYS
After four seasons, the low-key ensemble comedy hung up its Cubs hat and headed to Crowley's for one more beer. Sigh.

DOLLHOUSE
Fox dropped the ax on Joss Whedon's sci-fi series in 2009, but the network aired the remaining episodes in 2010. The action-packed ''Epitaph Two: Return'' gave fans some closure, but we're still not sure we'd trust network television with another Whedon project.

NUMB3RS
Math can't solve crimes forever, and after slowly losing steam for a few seasons, Numb3rs called it quits at the end of its 16-episode sixth season.

FLASHFORWARD
It was supposed to be the next Lost. It...was not.

NIP/TUCK
Make meeeee beautifuuuuul... Before Glee, Ryan Murphy sliced his way to a 100th episode of the often homoerotic, often heteroerotic — but always erotic in some capacity! — plastic surgery drama. Now tell me what you don't like about yourself.

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE
The Julia Louis-Dreyfus vehicle never quite got the love it deserved from CBS — as underlined by her post-cancellation Emmy nod.

I guess Medium still has unaired episodes but I'll miss it most of all. Dollhouse, Heroes, and Numbers leave a big void.

It's just a shame that a show like Caprica is cancelled when a lot of crap will continue to air for years on TV. I will miss 24 and LOST.

I will not only miss it, I will actively mourn it. It was absolute hell having this end.

I'll miss Nip/Tuck & Ghost Whisperer as well, don't give a shit about the rest.

I loved Lost, but it ended at the right time. Party Down should've lasted at least a few more seasons, it was a great show.
