also love the VS's and the song titles. i think the song titles makes you think a little more about the episode and what's happening in it. maybe it's a little deeper or something than what you think :P

I don't like song titles as episode names, I find it really cheesy. I love the way Friends does it :) Also just anything related to the episode.

I like when they take something (a song title, popular saying, book title etc) and relate it to the episode. One of my favourite episode titles is from SPN 'the Monster at the End of This Book'- which is a Sesame Street book, but the concept of it fit that epi so perfectly it just tickled me.

But I also agree with fanfly;) Where they use a movie or a book title, like the upcoming Supernatural epi called Sam, Interrupted :P
Gossip Girls' "Inglourious Bassterds" is also a good one!

I hate song titles, because I never know what's in the episode, I have to go and check! I love Friends titles, because they're fun and I can just look at the title and I know what the episode was about. I used to love the way That '70s Show named episodes, but after season five (or four) they started naming it after songs! Grrr... ;P

As long as the name of the song really fits the episode. Supernatural uses song titles really well. Really anything from popular culture (movie or book titles, quotes, etc.) as long as it fits well.

I love VM/GG's play on titles, they relate to what the episode is about but also sounds funny. ;P

This way rules! "The Blair Bitch project." "The Dark Night" " The debarted" "Seventeen Candles" "Oh Brother where Bart thou?" "The Empire strikes Jack" I could go on and on!

Though I have to say the best one was the episode where a girl was trying to loose her virginity and the title was "There might be blood." haha! GG is genius.

Although Friends was really clever with "The one where...."

I really like it when it alludes to a famous quote or is historical :)

GG episode titles are always funny. Every ep title is related to some movie.. :)

I love these as well: "The ex-files", "The thin line between Chuck and Nate", "It's a wonderful lie", "Gone with the will", "You've got Yale", "The age of dissonance", "The grandfather", "The sixteen year old virgin", "Inglorious Bassterds"... I can go forever, lol.
