Now to be fair, there's really nothing all that wrong with Grey's considering that its pretty much a generic medical show. It does some things extremely well and has talented actors in it, I have love for McSteamy, Bailey and Addison (well when she was in it) because they are well thought out developed characters, especially Bailey. But its not a deep show, and when you put up a fantastic episode of Grey's next to a fantastic episode of House (all relative to the show of course) House blows Grey's out of the water.
House has such a large amount of depth to it, deals with a slightly ugly, not the in asthetic sense, main character that is as I always say the most complicated character ever to grace tv. Its medical mysteries go far beyond the capacity of Grey's writers and its looks into the human pysche are far more daunting and illuminating. A large focus of House is on the patients themselves and in most episodes manages to tell their stores and flesh out these elevated extras so much so that they are mini-characters in themselves and are always remembered by the viewers (well most of them). It puts importance on the normal person, the person most of us are and its nice to see that admist the pretty faces and white labcoats.
House has its lows of course and Grey's can definetly hold its own against House's worst episodes, but when House gets it right, it beats every other drama out there because its just pure tv magic. Watch "Three Stories" if you don't believe me.
EDIT because oldmovie and I posted at the same time:

HA HA HA! I am so tempted to demonstrate that there is plenty wrong with 'Grey's Anatomy', but I won't because I don't want to piss people off! LOL!
House just delves so much deeper than Greys, after watching an episode of House you feel a lot more affected then if you were watching Greys. And we don't delve into ghost sex.(?)
Grey's Anatomy is a show that i have never and will never like. House on the other hand is one of the most amazing televsion shows to have ever graced our screens in my opinion. :)
But i know thaat House will win the poll

Just the fact that Dr.House carries a walking stick around a hospital is ridiculous enough to make me not watch the show. I mean seriously.
