With the return of Showtime's HOMELAND, fans find the thrilling spy tale back on American soil for Season 6.

Actor Kyle Klaus joined the ranks as a TAC Team member on the hunt during the first episode. He was literally banging down the door of someone in the Big Apple suspected of terrorism.

The appearance marked the second Showtime series for Kyle, previously popping up in an episode of Billions. He’s also been seen on the festival circuit in My Bakery in Brooklyn at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and starring in director Cody Blue Snider’s award-winning WW2 veteran drama, All That Remains.

Kyle Klaus recently took time to answer a few questions:

Tell us about your role in Homeland.

KYLE KLAUS: I play the lead TAC Team agent in charge of hunting down and bringing in a suspect of a terrorist organization.

How was it to work in this high-intensity hit show?

KK: In short - It was very high intensity...just like it seems in the show. You have to get yourself to a place where you put yourself into that state of mind and those circumstances. You definitely develop an appreciation for those who do that on a daily basis.

Were you a fan of the show yourself before landing the role?

KK: I actually had not seen the show, but heard great things and was meaning to catch up on it. Once I landed the role, I started by going back to the first season. It's great...I have ALOT of catching up to do...

Any interesting stories from the set you can share with us?

KK: Well, we had real life ex-cops and ex-military personnel that were able to double check the authenticity. I love to learn and was constantly asking them their opinion on something and how something would really be handled, just so I could properly represent those who do that for a living.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned from working on this project?

KK: I learned that while there are protocols and proper ways to do things, law enforcement really has a tough job. There is so much that you think about and try to be prepared for, but until you are faced with that situation in real time - there is a lot you have to just rely on instincts and best judgement. At best its organized chaos. That being said, I also am empathetic toward those that fall victim to social profiling - a topic that is big in this season.

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favorite actor/actress?

KK: Brad Pitt - I think he's been very underrated his career on some performances. He's not just a pretty face. Two others at this moment that come to mind are Matthew McConaughey and Leonardo DiCaprio. I have been fan throughout their whole career and their latest work has been even more impressive. They keep improving.

What role from the past do you wish you could have played?
KK: Stanley Kowalski in Streetcar Named Desire or Tyler Durden in Fight Club.

Favorite movie or TV show from your childhood.
KK: Terminator 2 was one of the first movies I ever saw in the theatre that I remember I think really stuck with me early on to influence me wanting to make movies and tell stories. The characters, story, music and world that was created in that film by James Cameron was so impressive.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
KK: I used to be able to dunk a basketball, and have a really good jumpshot.

How can fans keep up with you?
