For instance, her immature behaviour is something which will certainly make an impression upon the young fellow moving forward. I am not familiar with her own family background or upbringing, but she is bereft of many of the usual coping skills and emotional maturity which most other people her age have typically developed, the result of which is a persecution complex which completely dominates every aspect of her interpersonal relationships and her own self image. Kailyn is unable to appreciate any situation or circumstance from a position or viewpoint which is not her own. The resulting self-righteous attitude and mindset colors her every thought and action and puts her onto the defensive any time that she is not getting her own way. This is very evident in her downplaying her own violent behaviour towards her boyfriend Javi, as well as her attempts to actually shift some of the responsibility for her own actions onto him, evident in statements such as, "You know when I am getting angry so you had better get away". Her persistent use of euphemisms to explain her assault on Javi such as "put my hands on" or "pushed his face" rather than calling it what is actually was, a violent assault, further bear this out. What's more, many of these issues may in fact be evidence of some sort of borderline personality disorder which would seriously complicate any course of treatment.
Regardless of any eventual diagnosis, until such a time as she begins demonstrating the emotional maturity required to own her actions and to take responsibility for her behaviour, any and all of this is moot and until then, that child will be reared in an environment which is emotionally and perhaps even physically unstable.
