It was Friday morning. I jumped out of bed, took a shower, and got dressed. As I headed downstairs for breakfast, I stopped halfway down the stairs because I heard something that I haven't heard since, well ever. It was absolutely silent.

My gymnastics tornament was today at 12 in the afternoon. I was in the kitchen eating breakfast. It was 8 o'clock in the morning. My breakfast today was apple cinnamon oatmeal. To my surprise, eating oatmeal at a slow pace made it even more lumpy than usual. I put my spoon down in my bowl and stared at my lumpy bowl of now cold oatmeal.
