I’ve done plenty of horrid things in my lifetime, which wasn’t very long since I was only eighteen, and most of everything evil and manipulative was on that reality show Total Drama Island. I only did everything to stay in the competition, not like I enjoyed pulling Beth and Lindsey over like that. Oh, wait, yes I did. Well at least at the time I did. There was nothing I regretted more than my time on the Island. I guess the only good thing out of that experience was that it made me change my ways.
Most of all, out of everything that I regretted, was being pressured by Chris McClean, the host of the show. I thought that maybe if I…showed him some love he’d fix it so that I was the winner. I’d have meetings with Chris a lot on the downtime we spent between challenges while everyone else was wading around like the lot of fools they were, I was making my way to the top. You’d think I was lucky, to be with the super hottie and super rich Chris McClean, but he was worse than I was. He blackmailed me by saying he’d tell what I had been doing with him to the whole world on national television, embarrass me, if I stopped. At least he paid for my abortion.
A good thing about my experience on the Island, though, was that I met Noah. About a half-a year after the Island, when my hair had grown back, although it was just above my shoulders, I saw Noah in a store. I decided to pay him a visit, since I hadn’t seen a soul from the Island after everything, and Chris stopped talking to me.
“Heather!” he called out to me, waving and flashing that gorgeous smile of his.
“How are you.”
“Hey, Noah.” I said. “I’m just great. Looks like you’re doing great too.”
“Yeah, except not everyone is real in Showbiz, but you should know that.” His words were full of acid, even if he hadn’t directed that.
“Heheh, yeah.” I laughed a little awkwardly, sighing. I had changed a lot after the Island, I was actually starting to be nicer. Also, I promised myself I’d apologize to every single person I saw on the Island after the experience if I ever saw them again. “I just wanted to apologize for any rash behavior I may have driven at you on the Island.”
He smiled again, that breath-taking smile, and held his hand out. “Want to go grab a smoothie or something?”
So, Noah and I started going out, and we helped each other out. He was pretty manipulative, using his looks for everything. So I helped him tone that down, while he helped me escape my bitchiness. It was lucky that we ran into each other, and I totally turned my life around. Although whoever was on the Island beforehand, would probably never believe it.
New Years Eve, the final day of 2010, we were back on the island of Camp Wananakwa for a reunion and New Years Eve party. I was unsure though.
“C’mon, Heather, it’ll be fine. And we can tell everyone about the baby.” Noah assured me.
I was pregnant with his child, and we were expecting a little baby boy, and deciding on the name Jacob. No one would be happy for us though, since they all hated me. Maybe Beth and Lindsey would forgive me though. Lindsey was always sweet, I so shouldn’t have taken advantage of her.
Noah held me to him and kissed my forehead. “No worries, babe.” He said, smiling. And I was assured with that smile of his. I nodded and we opened the door, ready to apologize to everyone and ready for anything harsh or scolding they would throw at me.
But hey, I was Heather Brumley, and never cared what people thought about me before, as long as it was about me. But then again, I was a new woman, if only they would understand.
