Chapter 26

Izzy: DUNCAN! If I didn't have a crush on you, your head would be MINE!

Did I just say that out loud?
Beth: How could Duncan break Gwen's heart like that? Gwen told us the entire story! Duncan is a lying old son of a bi-

(Duncan's P.O.V.)
Did I make out with Courtney in the woods? Yes. Do I feel bad for doing this to Gwen? Not really. The only reason I got with Gwen is because that's what I wanted Courtney to be like! Sure, Gwen is nice, but Court isn't, she's the one I wanted to be with, she wasn't there, so Gwen was my pretend doll.
Right after Gwen found out the truth, and hit me with a duck, I glanced at Courtney. She looked after Gwen with a painful look of guilt. "Duncan," she said firmly, turning to me and glaring. "You had said you broke up with Gwen when I got here! You lied to her!?"
"Ah, c'mon, Princess!" I rolled my eyes. "It's not that big o' deal! Besides, I ended up with you, didn't I?" Changing the subject, I put an arm around Courtney. Her glare melted into a faint smile. "Yeah, I guess... but don't you dare do this again. Go apolagize to Gwen!" Court snapped back into her usual bossy self. What's the point of apolagizing? Gwen'll only yell at me to get out. After trying and failing to explain this to Courtney multiple times, I finally gave in and agreed to go apolagize to Gwen.
"It won't sound sincere. I'm not much of an apolagizing guy," I said. She gave me a kiss, and smiled sadly. "Make it sound as sincere as you can, Dunky."
A few goodbye kisses later, I found myself at the door of the girls' trailer.
I knocked on the door to have it be opened by Izzy, who would've torn off my face if it weren't for Lindsay and that geek, Beth, who held her back. They all glared daggers at me. Jeez, I had no idea that Lindsay could understand the story that Gwen most likely told.
"Oh, it's you," came Leshawna's voice through the rough, violent sobs and screams. Pking my head through the door, I saw Gwen, who was curled up in a feedle position, face as read as a tomato, lying her head in Leshawna's lap, crying up a storm, tears streaming like waterfalls down her face.
"You..." Leshawna said coldly. "You did this to her... monster..." She glared hard at me. Gwen's sobs kept filling the room.
