Sword Art Online Sword Art Offline Chibi.Yuna, Asuna, Yui and Kirito.
Here i just give you my take on SAO. And for why i like it so much.

Sword Art Online is a really good Anime. I used to hate SAO. I used to think it was a ripoff of .hack//, but one time I was at Game Stop and I saw them advertising a trailer and talking about the SAO Lost Song game on the GameStop TV. Instead of me thinking it was a .hack// rip off, i tried it for myself. And I actually enjoyed SAO. My friend at the time hated Anime. So I showed SAO to him on Netflix. And now he is a fan trying all sorts of different Anime's, games, books and listens to Japanese music as well.

Kanji lyrics

Aniplex of America announced at Sakura-Con on Saturday that Bryce Papenbrook (Blue Exorcist's Rin Okumura, Durarara!!'s Masaomi Kida) will voice the role of Kirito and Cherami Leigh (Fairy Tail's Lucy Heartfilia, Shakugan no Shana's Shana) will voice the role of Asuna in the English dub of Aniplex's release of the Sword Art Online television anime series. Kanji lyrics

First of all, i wanna apologize for my english but i still think that you all are going to get the message.
Sword Art Online is shit, Sword Art Online is the best anime ever made, Sword Art Online's LN are better than the anime, etc, etc etc. What are those? Exactly, opinions. Opinions, opinions everywhere. What should we do with other people opinions? Listen to them, respect them and then (in a final stage) we decide if we agree or disagree. Why? Because opinions and facts differ, while facts are objective and proved somehow, opinions are guided by our emotions, feelings and our own vision...

In a way, I’m a little disappointed that The Red-Nosed Reindeer was only adapted into one episode – in my view it’s quite possibly the most important of all the SAO side stories and we can see some minor pacing issues in how it was handled. Where most of the side stories merely serve to show Kirito in a different light (and introduce new characters with no relation to the main plot), RNR’s events pretty much define Kirito as a person. It’s hard to imagine that what he went through wouldn’t leave emotional scars, not just because of the loss of his friends, but because of his role...

This week we follow Kirito and Asuna as they take a break from the chaos of frontline combat. Heathcliff is completely right – they’ll be back, how could they not? If they were to up and leave the battlefield now and never look back, why then have they been fighting for so long? They may have each other now, but Asuna at the very least is not an overly selfish person. I doubt she’d be able to bear the idea that others were fighting while she spent all her time having fun with Kirito. Heck, we can actually see a little bit of discontent from Kirito at points during the episode – he’s...

Noooo after all this time, they didn’t use the line about ‘love breaking the bounds of the dexterity stat!’ I’ve literally been waiting this entire run for it so I could laugh at the absurdities Kawahara Reki frequently writes into his stories. I mean really, just imagine gaming if strong feelings could influence and surpass the stats. That would be entirely broken. Oh well, I guess it’s actually a positive since that whole concept was kind of stupid. Better to just sidestep the issue entirely. After all, there was nothing to suggest that Asuna couldn’t run the distance once she...

They say that opposites attract – that two people who are completely different are more likely to make a better pair than two people who are very similar. I guess it’s true in a sense, and the Asuna/Kirito pairing certainly seems to conform to this idea. Putting their taste in clothing aside (strange how Kirito has gone back to his regular black while Asuna continues to wear guild colours – perhaps it’s become too routine for her) along with their obvious disagreement on what can be considered edible, they both frequently react very differently to any situations which arise. With the...

Okay i wanna get this out of the way right now.
Many people think when they watch a gaming Anime like Sword Art Online it should be compared to other gaming Anime like Log Horizen and No Game No Life. But here i am gonna tell you about Dot Hack the Gaming Anime that started it in the Anime community. Click on the Link that will take you to the .Hack// Wikipedia website. link That proves and shows that Hack// Roots and Hack Trilogy with Haseo and the rest of the Hack series is Episodes,Ova and Spin off series. Just cause the characters change in some seasons does not make them spin off series...

And here it is, the moment we’ve all known was coming ever since Leefa and Kirito’s very first meeting. I’m not really a big fan of love drama in anime, at least not this kind. It always tends to go exactly the same way – someone gets their heart broken, there’s lots of screaming and shouting and then everybody goes their own way with a noticeably uncomfortable air. Knowing that it’s coming for several episodes makes it worse because it doesn’t even come as a surprise, and when it’s placed right in the middle of the climatic part of the story, that climax suffers too.

If suffering...

There’s something rather meta about blogging SAO while playing Guild Wars 2. It’s rather an odd feeling to – oh god they’re at the gates again – uh… anyway, where was I? Oh, it’s rather an odd feeling to be writing impressions about a story set within an MMO while playing one at the same time. All MMOs share core similarities, – I think I’ve been over this at least once before – which extend not only to the systems but also to the players themselves. Kuradeel (Yusa Kouji) – who looks a lot uglier (and a bit older) than I always imagined (though I think this look does him...

I wonder if this light inside my heart has been right here all along
And I've never noticed it at all
'Cause every time I stumble down
Or have to take the long way around
It shines on me forever more

The distant singing of the bells
If you listen close it tells
A lonely story

Once more, I'll push my fears away
All that I endure today will make me stronger

The mere repeating of reality alone
Alines the stars and all the wishes they take on
At last I've found something to chase with all my might
I can not fight or go against these feelings

No matter if one day I wake and blink away this world around...

This week we have an episode in two parts, the first a light-hearted glimpse into another unexplored part of the SAO system, the second a far more tense and action-packed boss battle with one of the toughest bosses to date. So how about we tackle (badum-tish!) the quieter portion first and leave the further glimpses into Kirito’s personality and the battle until later.

Fishing is almost always horribly boring in MMOs. Actually in most RPGs too – the only example that ever stood out as being moderately fun to me was Dark Chronicle. Interaction is generally minimal – you cast your line,...

This week’s sudden break in immersion, brought to us by an automated system maintenance warning, brought to mind something I hadn’t really thought about until now. Just how much of ALO’s playerbase participates in roleplay? It’s always been a big part of MMOs and I can only imagine it would become even more widespread with the introduction of VR as immersive as that displayed by SAO and ALO. To the player, the world must seem real – just how many of these people actually live out fictional lives within the game, going beyond merely playing to hit things with a stick? Kirito and Leafa...

I think the aspect of this arc I most enjoy is watching Leafa take every opportunity she can to poke fun at and belittle Kirito. It’s a refreshing change to the blind adoration shown by most of the other characters he comes across and the exaggerated jealousy and hatred felt towards him by antagonists. He can tend towards arrogance quite frequently, so it’s always nice to see someone bring him down a few pegs, whether over his poorly considered choice of race or his tendency to launch himself at obstacles expecting to be able to break through them with his strength alone.

I’m not really sure how to begin this article – it’s been a long ride and the finale is one that leaves me with some conflicted emotions. It felt both fitting and unfitting as a finale to Sword Art Online. The final few moments before the credits rolled felt like a good way to conclude the series, as did the return of every single character of import from the two arcs and the final showdown between Sugou and Kirito. These were all things worthy of being in what came across as a finale-epilogue combination. Yet at the same time it felt as though a lot of the episode dragged, that it could’ve...

Here ends the first major arc of Sword Art Online. I have to say, in fairness to A-1, they handled this episode pretty well. Most of its faults can almost entirely be attributed to the source material. It was certainly a flashy episode, with the final duel between Heathcliff and Kirito topping the rest of the series in terms of animation and style, and it had moments that some might consider touching or emotional. We even had the reveal of one of the few true twists in SAO – Heathcliff’s true identity. As most realised at the time, there was something fishy during his duel with Kirito,...
