Dear Dean,

You are my hero since I was four years old. You were there when I was a child, sacrificed everything for me. You protected me. You have told me the truth about monsters and about Dad. You have done anything to make me happy and assure me a safe childhood. You were there for me even when you were too old to take care of me and just when the girls started to look at you.

Now I understand why you live that way. You missed your adolescence because you had to take care of your annoying little brother.

Now we’ve grown up, become men, lost our parents, and become a family together, just...

Dean: You know, Sam, we are allowed to have fun once in a while. That's fun.
Andrea: Must be hard with your sense of direction. Never being able to find your way to a decent pickup line.
Sam: “Kids are the best”? You don't even like kids.
Dean: I love kids.
Sam: Name three children that you even know.(Dean thinks and Sam begins to walk away. Dean scratches his head)
Dean: I'm thinking!
Dean: So crayons is more your thing? That's cool. Chicks dig artists. Hey, these are pretty good. You mind if I sit and draw with you for a while? I'm not so bad myself. You know, I think you can hear me, you just...

The slam of the door echoed in my mind, even though it had been a few minutes, while I just lay there, on the floor. I could feel a piece of jagged glass digging slightly into my back and rolled slightly to release the pressure. My head was banging harder than it had done in a long time; I had driven for hours and then been beaten up by mo own brother. Well worth the journey, said the sarcastic, bitter voice in my head. I knew I should get up, should get out of the room before room service called and I had to think of an excuse of why not to pay, or find a phony credit card...but I couldn’t....

Season 4 was, in my opinion, the most horrifying season of the series so far, not in terms of plot or grotesqueness, but in terms of the story. Sam and Dean were not the Sam and Dean I’d come to know and love over the course of three seasons. Dean, newly raised out of hell, could do nothing but feel sorry for himself for breaking in hell under Alistair’s torture. He lost a lot of his jocularity and drove himself to the edge of exhaustion to try to make himself forget the unforgettable.

Sam, of course, was the worst. Driven by a very literal bloodlust and a desire for revenge, he forgot everything...
