Dean and Sam were back into the motel room, Sam was at the table pondering over a map trying to figure out where the vampire’s nest was. They had found out, that three towns in a row had at least two or more people turned, and that soon was going to add up.
Dean was being no help and was laying on the bed with headphones connected to the radio. Every so offend he would sigh heavily, which Sam would ignore, Dean was not doing it for attention, he just wanted alone time. As same was looking something, unrelated to the case, a sudden hunger hit him. And it was not a hunger for a cheese burger. His face hardened as he tried to suppress the feeling, he did not need it, not now. Ruby was no where to be heard and he was running out.
Sam was trying to make it last as long as possible, but that was getting harder. He stole a glance at his brother, who was lip sinking to a song and was looking like a fool, but Sam was glad he was preoccupied; his brother could always tell when he was in pain.
Dean was going to catch on sooner or later, and Sam needed to be the one to tell him … or he could just stop. But it was not that simple, he knew it and so did Ruby. Then again, Dean hated Ruby, and Sam knew that Dean would not approve of what he was doing, mostly because it involved Ruby. And Sam still did not understand why Dean still did not trust Ruby, but his brother was always like that.
About an hour later the power of his hunger was almost unbearable. When Dean looked at him Sam pointed to the door, then got up and walked outside. As soon as he was away from Dean, Sam started breathing hard, he hated this feeling, it was the worst feeling he had ever felt. A hunger he could never kill completely.
As soon as he was out of site from the window, Sam unscrewed the flask which held the blood and drank it all. He was not aware that he had drunk it all until he felt it stop running down it throat. “Damn it,” He muttered, that was not enough his hunger was still strong.
With speedy hand, Sam pulled his cell from his pocket and held down 4, Ruby on his speed dial. But all he got was voice mail. “Damn it Ruby! This is the third time you have fallen off the grid! I need more; you never give me enough, get over here – now!” Then he slammed the phone shut.
