Why was Sam all emotional at the end of "Mystery Spot" when they were leaving the motel?

Sam and Dean killed a trickster in second season but it turned out that he didn't die, so he returned and decided to have his revenge and played a bad joke on Sam - he made Sam watch dean's death in different ways several times. finally Sam understood that trickster was playing him but it was too late, next day Dean really died (a guy was trying to steal his car and shot him) so Sam had to get used to live without Dean.. after some time Sam eventually met the trickster face to face and Sam begged him to turn back time and get Dean back... But trickster explained that he was trying to drill a lesson in Sam's head and talk him out of idea of saving Dean and that nothing good would come out of this... Sam opened his eyes and saw Dean standing in the room, alive and healthy so Sam got up and gave him a big hug (so sweet). when they were leaving, Sam said that he had a very bad dream - clowns or midgets?asked Dean and went out. When Sam was about to leave a room, he turned away and looked at his bed with sad and teary eyes, remembering what he had been through...

because sam and dean thought that they killed a trickster in s2 but they did'nt and in s3 he comes back and starts playing tricks on sam so he make sam wake up in that motel room ever time he kills dean so when he leaves the room and looks back at the room remembering everything he has been through

I havent watched all Season 3 yet and def not that episode (Im new 2 Supernatural) and I went and read that by mistake! And once I started I couldnt stop!

I want 2 watch that soo bad now!
