Would he let him hurt sam?

In season 8 Would dean allow benny to hurt sam? In citizen fang he told sam that he isn't going to find benny and if he does he will be lucky to make it out alive. Also in southern comfort when sam tells dean he might be the one to kill benny, dean replies that they will cross that bridge when it comes to it. Is he threatening sam when he says these things

In Southern Comfort, he meant that Sam killing Benny would strain their relationship if it happened, because they were friends, but that he'd only deal with the situation if it arose.
