Why did Zach and other angels want to start apocalipsis, but now want to stop Lucifer?

What the Apocalypse was about was not only proving that Heaven was more powerful than Hell/Michael was more powerful than Lucifer but also about cleansing the Earth. When Heaven won, only the chosen [meaning the faithful] would remain in a New Earth. It would pretty much eradicate any human who didn't agree with the angels and they would be left with a bunch of malleable sheep to do with as they wanted.

so they could prove to Hell that they are the winners. they pretty much just wanted to show that they could/would win the war against Hell // Lucifer.

just wanna start war, win and live in 'peace'
