Overall, I like Ruby 1.0 the most, especially her snarky interactions with Dean (shortbus...XD).

Ruby 2.0 didn't really show any of that attitude in season 4, not until the finale. When she was giving Sam that speech, at the end there, about how awesome she is...she was actually kinda awesome.

Both have their appeal, but I feel Katie Cassidy worked the Ruby character a bit better.

Definitely blonde Ruby! She was more of a bad ass and fit in better with the rest of the cast. Brunette Ruby was completely full pf herself the whole season. She pissed me off and I totally cheered when she died. Brunette Ruby is also a terrible actress. And Jared could do WAY better than fake Ruby.
