Ok, so I'm re-watching season 1, "Provenance" to be specific, and I swear I heard Dean saying "Hey Jared, check it out"..am I crazy?

It's from the scene where he tells Sammy to look closer at the painting cuz he noticed some detail they missed before..they are in Evelin's house, with Sarah..

Season 2 Episode 13 5mins in when Dean is on the vibrating bed he calls Sam Jared too.

well, yeah, now that you mention it........it does kinda feels like he said Ja-Sam (or sth like that) he didn't said it that clear........

I have noticed the Hey Jared sound alike, but I'm sure that the Directors would definitely watch the episode before they put it on air, or either none of them noticed it because everybody calls him Jared off-set.

at the 2015 Houston Convention that I attended today, Jensen admits that he accidentally called Jared by his real name during this scene and it somehow made it through editting. So, yes, Jensen really did say "Jared" in this scene by accident.

No he messed up and accidentally started saying Jared so he quickly switches to Sam and it sounds like "Jam, check it out"

It's been confirmed by Jensen Ackles himself at Supernatural convention 2015 in Houston that he said Jared not Sam in this scene. It was subtle enough to where no one caught it and it aired as was. I hope this clears it up!
