Supernatural Question

How can Dean kill Zachariah in 5x18 Point Of No Return?

I thought, in 4x16, Uriel said the only thing that can kill an angel is another angel - so why can Dean kill Zachariah?
My only guesses are that he's an archangel's vessel and he's just called Michael down so therefore he has some kind of link to them?
Or that it's the angel blade, but usually only angels have them, so therefore it's usually only angels that kill others; maybe a human has not had possession of one before?

I'm pretty sure you answered your own question. Those blades can kill angels, no matter who wields them. Given Uriel's hatred of humans and demons it was probably just arrogance speaking when he said that no one but an angel can kill another angel. To him, humans were mud monkeys and demons were stains. He would never think them capable of killing an angel. Dean killing Zachariah was probably the first time a human has ever done it.

Yeah, that's one of my guesses - do we presume it's the blade that can exclusively kill angels not angels themselves? Thanks for the answer :)
