Christopher Reeve is Superman

Superman Returns' story does not remotely follow cannon. The casting was in incredibly poor chase, the plot was pathetic. Parker Posey's character was not well thought out. Brandon Routh did a terrible impression of an outdated superman concept. What's to like? It wasn't even entertaining.

How can anyone pick Superman Returns over the first Superman movie. It is a classic and more entertaining then Returns

"Superman: The Movie" is one of my favorite movies of all time. "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut" is a close second. If you haven't seen it, see it! Chris Reeves is hilarious and Brando is Brando. I loved "Returns", but nobody can replace Reeves.

i found it funny that they made the characters in the new superman movie so much younger. It makes sense to use the younger actors for certain hollywood-type reasons, it just makes it seem like they aren't even trying to follow the same story line.

i don't know where all these mystery Superman Returns voters are coming from. nothing against that movie (i love kevin spacey) but how can you pick it over christopher reeve. it seems like there are a lot of people on fanpop who are just into recent movies and don't really care about excellent classic movies or the comics themselves
