Steven Burns played Steve, the original star of the original Blue's Clues series. After starring in four seasons and one movie, Steven passed the role of host down to Donovan Patton's Joe because he wanted to focus on other things. For a while, it seemed like he wouldn't come back to the Blue's Clues franchise. However, out of respect to the original crew and his loyal fans, Steven came back for the Blue's Clues reboot that's called Blue's Clues & You!. While Steve is no longer the host, he is involved in the making of the reboot. He helped cast the newest host, Josh Dela Cruz, and has directed and written various episodes of the reboot. Also, he's made some guest appearances in the show.

I'll be ranking Steve's guest appearances in Blue's Clues & You! from least favorite to favorite. Something to note is that I'll be ranking the episodes by Steve's role in the episodes. Another thing to note is that even though some of the guest appearances are better than others, I'm a fan of all of them.

5. Blue's Treasure of Blue Lagoon

Steven's role in this episode is different from his other appearances, because instead of playing Steve, he voices Map Book. While Steven does get a good amount of dialogue, it's not as enjoyable as his other appearances in the series because he's not playing Steve and he's not physically present in the episode.

4. Mailtime Mystery

In this episode, Steve appears towards the end of the episode to sing a song for Mailbox's birthday. Steve would always get so excited to get the mail from Mailbox in the original series. It's touching to have Steve sing a song expressing his gratitude for an old friend of his. My only complaint about Steve's role in this episode is that it's very brief.

3. Blue's Night Before Christmas

Steve shows up in this episode, so he can celebrate Christmas with Josh and Blue. This episode was the first time that Steve had been seen at his old house since the end of the fourth season of the original series. It was great to see Steve show up to celebrate the holidays with his old friends. Having Steve wear a Santa hat and jacket were nice touches. Best of all, Steve gets to sing with both Josh and Joe at the end of the episode.

2. The Case of the Missing Thinking Chair

In the reboot, Steve is a detective, so this episode finally gives the audience a chance to see Steve's detective skills. In real life, Steven has a good sense of humor. He has often poked fun at how bad his character is at finding clues. This episode, which was written by Steven, has a lot of hilarious moments that show off Steve's poor detective skills. First off, Steve is literally sleeping on the job when Josh and Blue come to his office. After that, Steve needs help finding his keys and crayon. Even if Steve is very bad at his job, it's an absolute delight to watch him join Josh and Blue on the mystery.

1. Meet Josh!

Steve's first appearance in the reboot was in the very first episode. In the episode, Josh is playing Blue's Clues for the very first time. He isn't sure how to play the game, so he calls Steve and Joe for help. This episode serves as a very sweet passing of the torch. Having Steve and Joe teach the new host how to play Blue's Clues is very touching and enjoyable. Having the previous generation lend their advice and help to the current generation is such a beautiful thing to witness. Watching Steve see Josh learn how to become a good host is a very pleasant sight. Also, Steve gets a moment where he directly talks to his fans, so he can give us a sentimental greeting and inspire us to help Josh on his future adventures.

The time has come to celebrate the birthday of somebody very important to me. This person is very important to me. Technically, I've never met this person in person, but I feel like I have. This person did such a great job of making a bond with the fans that I feel like I've spent lots of time with this person and became friends with this person.

I'm referring to Steven Burns, best known as Steve. Steve was the very first person to host Blue's Clues. Steve has turned fifty. Steve was in his early twenties when he started hosting Blue's Clues. After all these years, he's still an important part...

For the 25th anniversary of Blue Clues, Steven Burns made a video for the fans. In the video, he talked about what he had been up to since he left the series. He also expressed his eternal gratitude to the fans for all the help that they have given him over the years. Steve's video is one of my personal favorite videos of all time. In order to thank Steve, I'd like to share a message of my own that's inspired by his message.

My message for Steve:

Hi, Steve. Do you remember how when I was little, I would watch you and Blue? Back then, I was just learning to walk and talk, so my memories might...
