Stephen King Question

The Dark Tower series - epic or flop?

Just wondering what people thought of the Dark Tower series. I know King struggled with it for years (in that he gave up on the whole thing at times, and yet couldn't really forget about it). Have you realised how many times links to The Dark Tower crop up in other books? What was your favourite part of the whole thing? (Not book, as such, just a particular part)...

Just curious.

The dark tower series is epic. Hands down. It's every king book ever written wrapped into one thrilling adventure. The villain is pennywise, randall flagg, and every other evil being in the king universe. I love how he tied that in. My favorite part of the whole series is when Roland encounters king after he was hit by the vehicle and lay helpless on the road. Roland saves him. I love how he ties that scene in with reality. It shows how skewed from reality kings mind really is. Perhaps Roland really did save his life.
