Should I read the books? :)

YEEEEESSSSSSSS!! ive read the book AFTER ive seen the show and the books are freaking amazing!
one very very VERY IMPORTANT ADVISE: DO NOT IMAGINE NINA AS ELENA IT RUINS EVERYTHING!!!
u have to imagine a blondie and gorgeous blue eyes elena ok?
1) stelena in it are hot
2)damon is more funny and caring AND he is know how to please women....
3)BONNIE AND DAMON freaking hot and their moments are full of emotions
4)MAYBE u wont like elena at FIRST but dont worry as all the characters, she improves herself in each books , to me i LOVE elena she is confident and independant
5)there is some supernatural stuff as in btvs or supernatural sometimes its too much but it doesnt really matter
6) of course the show is different (more like twilight and btvs) but as long as u dont picture elena as nina...
7)the writing is truly great! LJ did an excellent job
some people will say that elena's face isnt important but in the book it is.

^agree with everything :) but i read the books before watching the show. You'll like them though :) i'm quite a big fan of the L.J.Smith books.

Yes, definitely...xD I loved the books...Totally opposite from the show but still very very amazing! :D :D

if u read the books imagining Damon as Ian or Paul as Stefan or Nina as Elena meaning giving them the familiar face it will ruin everything read it as its the new series never heard about it

YESSSS! the characters are very developed and have bigger parts and meanings to who they are! Damon is hilarious and Damon and Bonnie are ADORABLE!!:) some spoilers for show (not a lot, the show always has a twist). You also get a background of the story and more supernatural creatures and myths... Bonnie is so cute and has more potential in the books!
P.S. Elena in books is blond with blue eyes... Not like Nina even though i love her. ;) <3
