What do you think of a following expression: 'A Sun is a source of all life on Earth and our closest star as well.'?

I think it's correct.Without the Sun there would be no life on Earth at all:no humans,animals or plants whatsoever.It is nevertheless a star by scientific definition.It gives us light,heath&energy.I do hope you would agree with me on that: Sun IS a STAR!
