Prolog:
Sota Slayer, once a re-known jedi master. Then slayer of jedi, turned assassin and bounty hunter.
Traveled to Kamino. A dream had told her that here would be found the savior of her family. It had taken a full chest of countless jems just to gain entry into the facilities. Greedy mongrel fish. A long necked female bowed before her.
"Honored we are ...." Sota held up a hand.
"Don't bother. Take me to the earliest known projects you still have viable. And don't forget any.If you know my rep. you know I won't think twice." She twitched her rain coat enough to allow the creature full view of her numerous weapons.
"No I will most assuredly not forget even one madame."
Hours went by, at each level Sota Silver Fox perused the merchandise before shaking her head."I am looking for something much older. Is there a level O?" The Kominoan paused.
"Yes, but that is....How do you know of it?" Sota smirked. "I have my ways. How much?" The long neck snorted as if insulted."Not everyone can be bought." Sota folded her arms across her chest.
" How much? Money to me is a worthless and bothersome weight that drags me down." Koi-Sol licked her lips. "6 chests of credits and jems each." Sota laught. "Then we have a deal long neck. Come up and receive your pay." Koi-Sol narrowed her eyes. " You do not wish to see the project." Sota shook her head. " You screw me. I kill you and take back my payment. So you've got much more to lose."
The baby boy took 3 months in his tube to complete. Just long enough to reach Stewjon. As she cuddled the child tears blinded her. The Dark One had missed this child. Of course with the way he had come about. It was best the boy never knew. She had found him on, Level: O, Column: B, Tube: 1. Sota watched the boy's warm blue-grey eyes open and steal her heart. As she eased him into the baby pouch. She could not keep him, his destiny did not lay with her. Though she wished it could with all her heart.
Her once dormant abilities drew her to the boy's new parents. Getting down from her bike she knocked at the door. "Please do not disturb us in our grief." For a moment she clung to the boy who cooed, pulling at her heart's vulnerable strings. It would be so easy to say screw the future. To take the boy home to her daughters as a little brother. But a heart broken mother's despairing cry was heard from the open window above. Sota knocked again." Please sir. I bring you a joy for your wife to hold. One to replace the one you have lost this night. Please open sir. For where I go danger follows. You need not fear, that I shall return for him. For he is not mine to claim." The man opened the door and allowed her in. Placing false memories in all those present, she bore away their grief. Leaving a piece of her own heart behind. The Sword Arm of the Pathbourne was now on his way to growing up to be a jedi knight. All that was left to do was await the Pathbourne's arrival. Whenever that maybe.
---------------------------------------- Chapter One.
Earth
The moon rose over the monolith's. Giving everything a blue tint. Morgan's tears blurred her vision, so that she had to wipe them away. She kissed the wedding picture one last time, before flooring the accelerator on her beaten up rented VW bug.
Master Yoda sat in quiet meditation when a sudden blast of energy threw him to his knees. The alarms throughout the flagship sounded as he and his guards rushed to the hanger. In time to see a strange contraption fall onto a fighter nose first. The clone pilot rolling away at the last moment. Steam and fluids covered the fighter. The medics were worrying over how best to reach the life form trapped inside the vehicle. Yoda reached out with the Force removing it quickly. The girl was unconscious and slumped over the control panel, as the hanger mechanic's sprayed the leaking fuel with safety spray. Before cutting away the door. The stranger fell into the waiting arms. Looking up the ancient master found the place where she had fallen from. It pulsed with the Force, yet as he sent himself deeper it closed. Nearly trapping him inside, but he had seen enough. A hallway with many, many doors. Turning to the unfortunate he saw tears escape her closed lid. "Such sorrow you carry. Help you we will."
Tyranus Dooku woke as he felt as if he'd been punched in his gut. Yet there was no one. Except a powerful essence and a fleeting memory, to brief to catch. He decided to meditate, perhaps the answer would come to him.
Across the galaxy Ahsoka Tano slept peacefully. Until a red haired human female literally crashed into her dream. "Wh-where am I?" Morgan wrapped her arms around her knees as she sat in a white white nothingness. Ahsoka gently approached the visitor who seemed truly lost.
" Can I help? You seem lost." She held out her hand. The girl's deep deep green eyes looked up at her. "My name is Morgan. Is this Hell?" Ahsoka took a step back in surprise. "No. This is my mind. My name is Padawan Ahsoka Tano. Let me help you." She said softly trying to reassure the poor child. As their hands connected both were thrown in the opposite direction. Ahsoka woke up sweating and shaking out her hand that the this Morgan had gripped. Turning on the overhead light. She saw an open red handed tattoo burnt into the muscle beneath her thumb. How was she going to explain this? It looked like it had been there for awhile.
Ahsoka cringed. Skyguy would ask Master Kenobi. Master Kenobi would inform Master Yoda. There was only one she could go to that she trusted with this.
"I thought you'd be fast asleep by now 'lil' one." Captain Rex said as Ahsoka slid into their booth.
"I was, until this." Ahsoka opened her palm.
"Hey nice tat. Where'd you get it?" Sargent Fingers asked as he sat across from her. Her face became worrisome. "One of the boy's didn't give it to you, did they?" Rex frowned deeply.
"No. That's the uncomfortable part. I got it in a dream." Fingers laught. "Now that's a new one on me. Too bad its not on your shoulder, it would have looked better bigger." Rex narrowed his eyes at his man. "Have you told General Skywalker yet?" Ahsoka bit her lip. He groaned.
"Ahsoka this is a matter for the jedi not us clones."
Fingers knew his captain well enough to know that he never used her name unless concerned. He snorted. It didn't take a card shark like him to see that the girl had more then just a passing thing for the captain. Too bad the man thought himself too old or more to the point too low on the totem pole. He brought out his favorite deck of cards. "Well why don't you tell us all about this dream over a game of cards. You can do both can't you." Rex gave him a look while Ahsoka laught. "No tricks." Fingers smiled warmly waving a finger. "Even if I did. You'd still beat me." Rex picked up the cards and soon all three of them were relaxed and smiling. "So if we should run into this Morgan. Do we knock her out, tie her up and wait for you or just play 20 questions." Fingers said as he watched his captains eyes hunger for his not so 'lil' one. Ahsoka lips became a line. "I'm not sure attacking her would be for the best. She was scared and confused. Morgan actually thought she was in Hell." Then she smiled. " Just act like your normal charming selves and I'm sure everything will turn out alright." She then frowned as another thought occurred to her. "It looked like she'd been in some kind of accident, but those reports won't be in for hours. Hours I was hoping to salvage some sleep." Rex tossed her his pass key.
" There's no way your going back to the temple. The general would skin me alive, if anything happened to you." Ahsoka quickly kissed him.
"No he wouldn't. He'd just reassign you to some dismal outpost. " Rex shivered. 1/2 in pent up emotions, the other in just how many dreary outposts there were. As she went out the door, Fingers tsked him. Rex shook his head.
" Why not Captain? She wants you to, a blind man could see that."
" She's General Skywalker's padawan."
"And?" Fingers didn't see the revelance.
"And nothing." Rex frowned. Fingers answered with his own frown. " Come off your high horse or low horse. Whichever. You want her. Maybe even love her. Let me finish." Fingers narrowed his brown dirty water eyes at his commanding officer. " Now if you spent your time out on the town, like we have asked you to. I could see I was wrong, but you don't. You spend all your available time either at the range or at practice.
Practice my ass. You like what you see, I can't blame you." Rex grabbed him and then eased as he realized what he was doing. "Hey your just protecting her rep. If I was lucky enough to have her attentions. I'd of given myself a black eye. So Captain, she's in your room. What are you going to do?" Rex sighed defeatedly. "Sit and look for this Morgan." Fingers groaned. "Fracking fool."
Rex softly answered. " She's a future master, Fingers. I won't be what stands between her and that goal." Fingers shook his head.
"And a one night stand is out of the question, then?" This time Rex brought Finger's face up close to his. " Don't ever repeat that to me again." Fingers swallowed hard. " Yes sir."
