"Master Yoda, I have tried all forms of meditation. Yet been unable to pinpoint from where these disturbances come." Obi-wan said the jedi master. Yoda frowned deeply. All had felt the Force's sudden surge, and had been on the look out ever since. Nothing was ever found. Some said it was some new Chosen One or perhaps some life force joining the Force. Yet that question only breed more questions. " Capture your dreams you must, answer your questions they may." Obi-wan shook his head and produced the vid cube from his pocket.
"I've already done so.What answers it leads me to do not bring comfort...

In the desolate hopelessness that was Tatooine, there rose a scream to scare the damned. Blood and bodies decorated the great hall of Sota Slayer's home. Her brother and twin lay dead amongst his family, worse was those who'd done the deed sat dejectedly in the high backed chairs. Three of the litter of 5, sat blood smeared and defeated while their husband's stood behind them. Closing on them with her saber, she found herself gaining altitude. A large black eagle had her in its clutches as it whisked her away out of the accessible high window. Dropping her into the oasis,Sota floundered in...

"STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE" (1977) Review

Long ago (thirty-five years and seven months, to be exact) and in a galaxy far, far away, producer-director-writer George Lucas made film history with the release of his movie, "STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE". Only, during the summer of 1977, it was simply known as "STAR WARS". And this science-fiction/fantasy homage to Saturday morning serials and mythology was something that moviegoers had never seen before.

Now considered as the fourth film installment of Lucas' STAR WARS saga, "A NEW HOPE" chronicled the adventures of a space-aged farmboy...

prologue:
In the darkness of the downpour Sota Slayer put down her transport onto Kamino's cloner facilities landing pad. It had been a surprise when the Force had touched her. Sota's heart contracted. After all this time, after all that had happened. Once she'd been a jedi of some re-known, then the dark one had lead her astray. Not even her beloved husband and father to their children had been allowed to survive. Now she was reduced to taking and training others to take lives. Not without a full investigation first. She would have no more innocent blood on her hands. Sota snorted. Only the...

"What do we do if we run into those Jedi? I take it that killing them is out of the question." Vizan got a definite look."Alright how about just knocking them around a bit. No real damage." Jorg snorted."Be lucky if we don't get our asses kicked. Remember they actually have training, and there's at least two of them if not more." Vizan growled."So we just let them take her." Then he thought it over and smiled."Of course if they should upset her, there will be two less Jedi to worry about." Jorg rolled his eyes. "Not funny Vizan. We may not like them, but at the moment we need them. With our...

Prolog:
Sota Slayer, once a re-known jedi master. Then slayer of jedi, turned assassin and bounty hunter.
Traveled to Kamino. A dream had told her that here would be found the savior of her family. It had taken a full chest of countless jems just to gain entry into the facilities. Greedy mongrel fish. A long necked female bowed before her.
"Honored we are ...." Sota held up a hand.
"Don't bother. Take me to the earliest known projects you still have viable. And don't forget any.If you know my rep. you know I won't think twice." She twitched her rain coat enough to allow the creature full view...

OK, OK, don't kill me! This is something that I've noticed about Star Wars that is very annoying to me. The annoying thing is this: it's inconsistent. I mean, think about it; things that happen in the prequels aren't always consistent with things that are said or happen in the OT. Part of the problem is the fact that the prequels were made long after the OT was. For example, in ANH, Obi Wan dies, and his body vanishes. In ROTJ, Yoda dies and his body vanishes. But, again in ROTJ, Anakin/Vader dies and it doesn't appear that his body vanishes, and in TPM, Qui Gon dies, and his body doesn't...

Morning's shadows lite the darkened skies. The chill made Fie curl against the now cooled hide of the strange creature. Morgan coughed and tapped the girl on her shoulder. The girl opened her eyes and rolled away. As Morgan drew her naked knees up to fight off the cold."S-s-sorry."
Fie backed further away, caught between running for her life or taking pity on the now shivering woman.
A flash of light made Morgan shield her eyes. Had they been found? Dread filled her. Blinking she uncovered her eyes.Where the girl had been, now sat a confused silver fox.It whinned and barked at Morgan, before...

ME AND THE "STAR WARS" SAGA

Recently, I learned about the creation of a YOU TUBE video clip called "Dear J.J. Abrams". In this clip, someone named Sincerely Truman made a list of rules for director-producer J.J. Abrams to follow for the upcoming seventh movie in the "STAR WARS" film franchise. In reality, the video clip was basically another attempt to bash the last three movies of the franchise known as the Prequel Trilogy.

This Sincerely Truman seemed to believe that Abrams, along with screenwriter Michael Arndt follow his (or her) advice, the franchise could regain the former glory it had...

Zori sighed as her long day ended.
For starters, because of her unintended nap. She was being docked a day's pay on her next check, to pay for the embarrassing scene.
Add that to her boyfriend's surprise of dumping her. Hadn't even given her the curtisy of allowing her to stay the night. Just had her bags packed and waiting at the door.
The hmpf....hmpf of her replacement, as she had to tell the prick she'd have to come by in the morning for the rest.
Taking up her overnight bag. Zori cursed the stranger for her string of bad luck. Never knowing that her night had only just begun.

No one will deny that the Prequel trilogies have flaws or will call them better than the original trilogy. But at this point - and it seems like from the beginning people unjustly bashed them just to seem " cool" and get attention. After eight years, it is now nothing more than a childish fad to bash and bash the prequels. They are good movies that told the story of how Luke and Leia Skywalker came to be the unique and very important separated twins that they are in the original trilogy. Not to mention how their father came to be the monster he was until he redeemed himself for his kids. I...

Just a boy:

The fair lady weeps,
she cries and she moans,
her lover Han's last words,
just a mere groan.

How sad it is to see her heart break,
now her lover has gone there is nothing else left to take,
she sits alone mourning her poor broken heart,
though she knew that one day they would have to part.

She longs to see Han's handsome face,
just thinking of him emphasizes her cracked heart's rate,
but he's now all gone and his skin's probably rotted,
the princess hopes that his killers would soon be spotted.

She's now damaged like a broken toy,
all this sadness over just a boy?
I wanted to write this to express my dissent from the norm of Star Wars fans with regard to the New Jedi Order series of books. Many fans (and by many, I mean 99% of what I've found) are very critical of the series, saying that the Yuuzhan Vong don't belong in Star Wars, saying that the dark tone is wrong, and expressing outrage over the death of a beloved main character (I will not say the character's name, to avoid spoilers.)

I, however, feel that the dark tone of the novels was a nice change in the increasingly childish tone of the Star Wars canon. Not to say that I dislike any of the childish...

The following is a list of minor notes and observations that came to me, during my recent viewing of “Episode VI: Return of the Jedi”. I hope that you enjoy them:

Notes and Observations of “STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI”

*I have always found the launching of shuttles rather different in the STAR WARS saga, in compare to other science-fiction sagas. The Imperial shuttles leave the starships like drops of water from a faucet.

*The commander of the Death Star II seemed to react with horror at the news of the Emperor’s impending arrival. Quite a contrast to his mild nervousness...

Notes and Observations of "STAR WARS: EPISODE V - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK"

The following is a list of minor notes and observations that came to me, during my recent viewing of “Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”. I hope that you enjoy them:

*Exactly who was in command of the Rebel Alliance base on Hoth – Leia or General Rieekan?

*What was Leia doing on Hoth with the Rebel Alliance military personnel? Why wasn’t she with the other political Rebel leaders?

*Ah yes! The ”I just as soon kiss a Wookie!” dialogue between Leia and Han. Charming, although slightly . . . childish.

*How . ....

Notes and Observations on "STAR WARS: Episode IV - A New Hope"

*According to the movie’s opening scrawl, Leia possessed the Death Star plans that could “provide freedom to the galaxy”. Is that what happened at the end of the movie?

*Wow! R2-D2 really looks worn and old aboard the Organas’ ship, the Tantive IV. It is easy to imagine that he has been around for over three decades.

*Are the troops firing upon the stormtroopers, Alderaanian...
