Upon the old priest sitting amongst the deathly empty thrones.His tears of silent grief drawing it ever nearer. The Pathbourne had not come.All his brother's and sister's were now dead.Their seat's cold and empty.Not even the babies in their cribs had survived, a total massacre.The Darkness wetted its lips in anticipation of tasting the last of the Family. As it lazily slunked around towards him the symbol on the floor twisted. Sudden fear beat at the beast's movements trying to make it move ever faster.But Lennar had felt the beast's hunger.Had felt it and welcomed it, and as his new born hope surged through his withered veins.He threw up a force field of minimum energy as he shed his human shell, one last time.The Darkness charged, slashing and biting at the field in hopes of killing the old man.Hoping to stop its enemy from returning.Lennar roared and shook his golden mane shattering the field losing the much needed energy.The Darkness slammed into the lion, rolling him to the ground. Where it scratched and bit trying to bury its teeth into something vital.
Lennar had lived a long and war like life for most of his life. Even as a priest he had not shirked his duties on the field of battle. He tossed the lecherous devil off him only to have it jump onto his back where it clung hard to his mane.Lennar reared up slamming himself backwards, only to hear his own back crack against the stone floor.He rolled,but not quick enough. The Darkness found his throat, where it began slowly tearing it out. Lennar shed his lion's mantel keeping only his claws, as he tore out the beast's own core energy.It gasped and rolled off of him dying with its own triumphant grin on its distorted face. Lennar spat at it, before gurgling out only 1/2 of the needed words to bring forth the Pathbourne into the compound. His body turning into white blessed sand, that a curious breeze wafted up and out the upper window into the wild and desolate plains of Tattooine.
EARTH
Dressed in an old and well preserved United States Naval uniform.Admiral Morgan listened to the escape pods scattering choruses of "God bless you admiral." As they headed off to one of the few places hopefully still safe on the North American continent.The Alaskan Peninsula.The crazy loons who'd taken over Dictator Central had finally done what centuries of their ancestors had only threatened.Now all but Alaska and the lost Hawaiian Islands were left without the orange glow of nuclear and bio-weapon.Morgan kissed the old worn out ring her mother had given her when she'd become admiral at 15.Its cross design had given her confidence and direction in times of greatest need.As it did now as she eased the near 1000 year old war machine into their grave.
In the Exquisite Favor (air-ship hotel) above Coruscant:
The Crown Prince of Mandalore smiled at his twin brother's wide back.The man took his job far too seriously.He couldn't remember when he'd last seen the man smile or heard him laugh.Of course not just being trained, but surviving being trained by the Watch was a feat not many could claim.But he tried anyways, he had to.
"Jorg? Brother?" Vizan intoned like any normal man would address his own. Getting no response, he halted.Which halted his brother. Jorg rolled his eyes as he then heard the imperial tone march out of his brother's mouth.
"I command you to pay attention to me." Jorg rolled his shoulders and sighed."My prince, you have always had my full attention.But we need to make your rooms before the other delegate's arrive." Vizan shook his head. " This isn't some war meeting.We are here to see what we can do about repaying their kindness.You can relax." Vizan realized his mistake as his brother stiffened even more then he'd thought it was possible for him to do.Jorg hated to be told to 'ease up' or 'relax'. He'd seen his comrades make those same mistakes over and over paying with their lives.He refused to lose his brother by such means.As Vizan gripped his brother's shoulder, drops of water landed on his head.With a gut feeling Jorg took his brother to the floor.
Turning just in time to see the impossible. A flood of sea water cascaded down where they'd just been,but that was only a slight shock. It was what had come with the sea water. A woman. Vizan heaved his well muscled brother off of him only to sit and stare at the very naked woman.
He quickly stood and twisted off his own cape to cover her. "Jorg? Jorg! I don't think she's breathing!" Jorg blinked out of his utter shock into action. Breathing life into her until the water emptied out onto the floor. Her eye's creaked open momentarily. Just enough to brand him with her dark green jade. A color unseen amongst any of the races he had ever encountered. Vizan coughed lightly. "We should hurry. Or this will be what the meeting will be about." Jorg heard the slight snicker in his brother's voice. "You're right, your majesty." With that he picked up the now breathing young woman. Uneasy at how little she weighted, yet she showed no malnutrition nor starvation scares.
"Its been two days, Vizan. We can't wait any longer. Or we risk turning it into a war meeting." Jorg said as he turned to his day dreaming brother. Vizan slouched in the chair he had spent most of the two days mentioned in. He had never seen such a magnificent red in all his life. She was perfection of creation. Tall, strong and flawless. A woman made to be queen. He shook himself and got up from the chair with an audible groan and stretch. "How can we leave her? She hasn't even woken up for food, much less anything else. Not even our droid medic can puncture her skin to get in a bag feeding. I'd wager 1/2 the crown that not even your weapons can make a dent." To which his brother put his hand on the saber at his side. "Are you mad? I wasn't serious."Jorg growled. "Then you shouldn't say things like that. We can't stall any more. We need to go. If it will make you feel better I'll get one of the maids to look in on her while we're gone." Vizan's eyes narrowed at the suggestion. He didn't want anyone else even knowing about her much less checking up on her.
"No. She's out cold, but afterwards we'll need to order some food. Some real good smelling food. Hell we might have to force feed her if it comes down to it." Jorg frowned. He'd done it a time or two but it wasn't a pleasant memory. He eyed the curly haired temptress in his brother's bed. With anyone else he would have trusted his brother enough to leave the room, but not with her.
Morgan felt groggy, weak but very much alive. Hearing voices she stilled herself. They were talking in a language she had never heard before. Had the sub not gone deep enough? Had the enemy anticipated her movement? Was she now in some enemy holding awaiting their interrogation tactics? Where in the end they would stuff her like some trophy for their museum of rebels. No! No way in hell was she going to go down like that! When she heard the door close, she sat up. Sat up and looked down. She was totally naked, except for the heavy quilt. What the hell? Where were her clothes? She felt for soreness, but found none. She checked for puncture marks and cuts.Her tongue ran a check along her teeth, feeling for any abnormality no matter how small. Nothing. She clenched her hand and felt the ring. At least she still had that. Now for some clothes and an escape.
