Sure he saved her lots of times, but in every game, magazine, or anything that features a bio or a trophy of him, it states he cant pass by someone who needs help regardless of anything. In Sonic Generations, in the first scene you can see thats he's grabing and pushing Amy away from him while he's talking to Tails. Uhh, hint hint wink wink!! He dosent like her! They're just friends and not really good ones either.
