The Drones moved forward from Fort Benjamin like, well, insects.
The IND captured one of Natura's Queyn's, and were using them to make cheap, efficient insect soldiers.
The Queyn issued orders via the hive mind she established at birth.

A Throne escort glided over the surface of the sand at the Feild of Benjamin prepairing for the showdown by ingraining into the ground and using their glyph rings to form turrets.
"It's the first major battle," whispered a long obselete Arkknight. The only place where his kind were needed was at the Chancellor's Palace as honor gaurds to Chancellor Versaii.
"Doesn't mean we're done," said his comrade in the Throne next to him, clenching the controls of his blaster.

Torren sat in the chair next to Tydus at the temporary Parliament on the Feild of Benjamin, incessantly poking him.
"Torren," hissed Tydus, nearly screaming in anger as Prime Minister Sheilds layed out the battle plan, she being elected War Minister after Timothy rebelled and went to live with his brothers Jacob and Chancellor Versaii at the IND Fort Talisman. "There is a time and a place to be an annoying little shaza. A Parliamentary meeting with Honor Gaurd Mother standing right behind us is not that time."
Torren frowned. "I am not a fly," he retorted, hearing the word for the first time in a while.
Mother growled behind them, wishing for a reason to snap someone's neck but realizing murder is wrong.
Tydus reached for his glass of Ambrosia just as Torren decided to poke his stomach.
The semiacidic substance spewed from his mouth.
"TORREN AQUARIUS OCEANIUS!" Tydus screamed in a mad rage, not caring how many Parliamentarians were listening. "YOU BAZKA! YOU DESPOSI! YOU MALIKIAN! SCUM OF THE EARTH, PAY ATTENTION TO THE FLIPPING PRIME MINISTER'S FLIPPING SPEECH!"
Torren cowered on the floor, and Mrs. Sheilds cleared her throat.
"Mr. Oceanius," she said in her clear, bell-like voice as Tydus' cheeks turned lava-red. "If you're done, may we continue?"
Tydus' voice was barely audiable.
"Yes, Excellency," he replied, helping Torren up and giving him an apology handshake before sitting down.

"who are you" eggman says there was no answer from sandy "answer me" eggman says "sandy" then i see sonic and tails stealing the chaos emeralds "what, sonic" eggman says I see the other chaos emeralds and drop down and take them then emma drops down in front of me "ruby give me those emeralds" "never, traitor" I scream at her I run out of eggmans base and meet up with Sandy, Sonic, Tails, and Cream. "did we get all of them" I ask "I think" tails said I give the chaos the two chaos emeralds to sonic "thanks" Sonic says "bye, everyone" I say
