Calling all writers!
Are you an artist with your words? Do you like to write? I know I do. "So You Think You Can Write" is a contest for people who would answer the same as me.
Basic Rules & Guidelines
1. Your entry MUST be submitted to this spot as an article. If it is entered in any other section it will NOT be accepted.
2. Your entry MUST be original/written by you. If anybody helped you, please credit them.
3. Your entry must be properly key-worded and titled.
a. A proper title: "[username here]'s SYTYCW Entry - [season and year] - [category/type of literature]"
ex. If I entered a poem, my title would look like this: "Cute20k's SYTYCW Entry - Summer 2011 - Poetry"
b. Your keywords MUST include but are not limited to "sytycw, summer 2011, [your username here], [category/type of literature here], entry, so you think you can write"
4. Your article MAY include images, but visuals are not required.
5. You can start entering now, entries will not be accepted after July 15th.
6. You may only enter ONCE. This means that your entry MUST fit into ONE article. NEITHER of your entries will be counted if you enter more than once.
7. Plagiarism is unacceptable and WILL be punished.
8. This may seem childish, but 'play nice'. This means that any negative comments (this does not include constructive criticism unless the contestant specifies that they do not want constructive cristicism) towards eachother will disqualify you.
9. No published works can be entered. This does not include works that have been posted on the internet; this only includes works that have been professionally published by an actual publishers.
Here's a basic run-down of how this SHOULD work:
Contestants may enter June 16th through July 15th.
On July 16th, I will post an article that explains voting in more detail and list all contestants from each category (categories may have to be combined depending on the number of entries) that followed all the rules and therefore qualify. Once the article has been posted, voting will begin. Contestants may vote, and you can vote in each category (But you may not vote for yourself). If you have any questions, contact me on my wall, through a fanpop message, or through a comment on this article. If it is urgent, you may email me: cute20k@hotmail.com.
If you're not sure you want to enter, or simply don't have the time, don't forget to vote!
