The team has never been referred to as Justice League on screen. They have been referred to as:
■ In the episode Run, Bart mentions to Clark that the two of them and other people like themselves should "form a club or a league or something". This is a reference to the Justice League of America.
■ Emil Hamilton referred to them as "Oliver and the league" in Rabid.
■ Rick Flag when he was Oliver he called his "vigilante" team a "League of heroes" in Shield.
■ Dinah Lance calls them "The League" while talking to Clark in Collateral.
■ In the episode Justice, Oliver said that their team name should have the word "Justice."
■ John Jones referred to the team as "SuperFriends" in Prey. The term SuperFriends was first coined by DC writer Gardner Fox in the early 70's. It was intended to be a more child-friendly version of the Justice League.
■ Oliver wanted to know where the other "SuperFriends" were in Absolute Justice, Part 1.
■ Chloe also has referred to them as "SuperFriends" in Warrior.
■ When Stargirl asked Clark what do they call their superhero team, Clark said it was a "work in progress". (Absolute Justice, Part 2)
■ The team's official symbol was revealed on computer screens bearing the letters JLA embedded into an Eye in Ambush. The symbol is alluded to on the computer screens throughout Season 9 also.
■ In the episode Aqua, A.C and Clark made an allusion to the Justice league in which A.C. says he and Clark should create a Junior Lifeguard Association, and Clark says he's not ready for the JLA just yet.
■ Chloe Sullivan referred to the team as the "Super Gang" in Absolute Justice, Part 1.
■ In the episode Scion, Conner makes a reference to the Justice League when he talks to Clark, that he (Conner) would like to join the team when Clark feels he is ready.
■ The JLA logo was shown a few times between Savior and Absolute Justice, Part 1. The JLA logo wasn't seen more until after the team worked with their predecessors, The Justice Society of America or JSA, so it's safe to assume this name influenced the team's naming.
■ Lois refers to the team as "The League" in Dominion.
■ It can be assumed that the real name of the team is the "Justice League of America" and the term Justice League is just for short, as the team's logo has the JLA abreviation.
