Stupid Gryffindorks, they dare call us "evil" We aren't...

I’m getting really tired of saying this, but I’m going to anyway because obviously it’s not sinking in. Slytherins are not evil. Slytherins are cunning and clever and sneaky and ambitious and loyal to those they care about and brave and self-preserving. Nowhere in that description does it say that Slytherins are “evil.” You are viewing the books from Harry’s perspective, which is incredibly biased, and not looking at it in the right way. Ron said that there wasn’t a wizard that went bad who wasn’t in Slytherin, but before you take that statement as fact, let me remind you that Quirrel and Lockhart were both Ravenclaws and Pettigrew was a Gryffindor.

Meanwhile, we have quite a few awesome people in our house who did some seriously awesome things. We have Narcissa Malfoy who lied to Voldemort’s face and saved Harry’s life. We have Regulus Black who turned his back on Voldemort and tried his hardest to destroy the Horcrux and would have, if he had known how. We have Severus Snape who was a spy for the entirety of the Second Wizarding War. We have Merlin who is known collectively as the greatest wizard of all time. We have Professor Slughorn and a group of unnamed Slytherin students who came back and fought with wizards from Hogsmeade against the Death Eaters. We have Draco Malfoy who hid from his father and aunt that Harry Potter was standing in his house, warned Harry that his father knew about Harry’s godfather, and prevented two men he viewed as friends (or at least close acquaintances) from killing Harry when they had the chance. We had Pansy Parkinson who gave the most logical solution to an obvious problem (just turn over the one child so we can all live), even though everyone hated her for it. The list goes on.
Every member of every house shares some traits with each other; the ideal person would fit into all four. Slytherins are chosen for their ambitious qualities, for their cunning, for their loyalty

Determined, cunning and resourceful. What's wrong with that ? These qualities saved my day and my hide in many occasions - and they will again in the future. I'm not going to complain to have such a marvelous survival kit !

And as I grow older, I notice that these traits are getting stronger and stronger. My Slytherin side is not to disappear overnight !

Ambition is not a bad thing : it's just knowing what one wants to do with their lives. What is bad, is being ambitious at the expense of others, that is, destroying others to further one's agenda in life. Never good. I've lived long enough (over 40) to notice that. It can bring a lot of problems in the end. Though I must confess that I am so much a focused and determined a person that I could break everyone's back around me in order to achieve my goals (including and most of all my own back in the process !)

Slytherin isnt the house of evil. Why would there be? It's the clever house. I'm not evil like how you said so as well.

I agree of course. We are their superiors!!!! Like Draco said in the 3rd film. We are nowhere near evil we are just misunderstood that's all but no-one will listen will they because their scared of us.(Our head of house is the best XD)

I agree. Just because you're a Slytherin doesn't make you evil, though being evil is really nothing to be ashamed of!

I'm evil, cunning, ambitious, power hungry, self serving, and better than all others ( not to mention a death eater).... so yeah the gryfindorks got it right.

I agree there are some good snakes ;) Narcissa And Snape fir example. Draco wasn't evil either just your typical bully bad-boy!

I'm not in Slytherin, but I agree they are not evil. :) I respect and admire them for their cunning and resourcefulness.

They Are Jealous Of Slytherin Having Power And Fame

We are not evil at all. The Gryffindors only remember that many of us came out to be Death- eaters, but they never know or will know that Merlin was actually a Slytherin. So there, we are not evil, only strong willed and full of ambition.

Hell no, we're not evil! There's dark witches or wizards from every house, they just like to admit it. We're more out there with Slytherin; because we're proud of the power. Not the stuff dark wizards of witches done. Yes indeed, we are just ambitious. Gryffindors aren't very open-minded.

As far as i'm concerned Gryffindor is worse than Slytherin, I'm in Ravenclaw by the way
