Am I the only one who think they share very similar characteristics and childhoods? (unrequited love, "bad" parents)

some. but I think Snapes mother was compassionate, she just couldnt help Snape much because of his abusive father. And I think Lily did love and care about Snape. She wasnt cruel like Tom Riddle Sr.
