I agree, the writers probably just want to establish that Shun is meant to be alone ¬_¬' kinda sucks, not so much the alice and fabia part, but Skyress being seperated from him 3:

Alice is coming back i just know it.In season 2 they already said;Alice is not coming back.But She had to come back,didnt she.I think she will be later in Anime season 3
