Sherlock Question

OMG! I just read that they might be "marrying John off" in series 2! Agghhh! It won't be the same if they aren't still flatmates. There won't be as many opportunities for the characters to interact. Someone tell me this isn't so!!!!

Hmmm I haven't heard about that but because it's the BBC and that John & his girlfriend have a close relationship im afraid the reality is John will either split this girlfriend and get another/marry the other one or the more likely case is that he will marry her.

I think they are moving things along too quickly (especially if they want this show to last). It's only been 3 eps. so far! sarah is a nice character but, too soon! I like their banter when they're back in the flat discussing cases or whatever. They can both pop out at a moments notice when Lestrade calls or whatever. How do you feel about this? Also, since there is going to be an Adler character in the new series, who do you think might be a good pick? Romola Garai? Do you know when the next series is coming out?

I think the new series is coming out this year maybe in Winter i agree with you I think they are moving the series way too fast and they should let sherlock and john have more time with each other before he marries her^^ I don't mind who the new adler charcter is but im sure they will be cool:)

I agree with everyone, but they really are just following the thread of the origianl stories. Watson met (and soon thereafter married) Mary in the Sign of Four, which at least in my compendium is the second novel. So as much as I enjoy watching the boys at baker street, it is very likely that John will be married off. The creators said something to this effect in the comentary of one of the first season episodes. And Waston is deffinatly married during the hiatius, which is what it sounds like they are setting us up for. I LOVE this show and dont want it to go away, but I dont know if they'll make more than one more serreis, as both their lead actors, and one of their creator/writers have very busy scheduals.

i don't think it will happen this series. he's had many girlfriends but doesn't seem serious about any. it would be too abrupt if he got a gf and immediately married her.

In the books, AND the new movies, he gets married to Mary Morstan. Actually, in the books he's ALWAYS married. So it's entirely possible. But the thing is, I don't think he's even met Mary yet, so them getting married probably won't happen until at least the third season.
